Tigers v London Irish (A) - Saturday 25th February 2023 - KO 19:30

Post by TigerFeetSteve »

Ok so this is one we're without internationals for.

Heyes not being in the squad is useful. Have to wait and see who else may get released. Guessing Youngs again?

Hard to say how injuries to the likes of Wells & Porter affect things. Pollard may have a knock too.

So there's a high liklihood this team is miles away.

Brown
Ashton

Gopperth
Potter
Atkinson
Youngs
West
Motoya
Heyes

Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

West looked solid as a rock against Sarries. I'm with you, @TigerFeetSteve - think he's claimed the A shirt.

I’d love to see West signed up longer term!

Was really impressed with West yesterday! 🤞 We can get him signed up for the next season! Takes the Nephi spot nicely and eqp!

I see him replacing Van Wyk personally.

Has there been a statement on Dolly ? Would love to see him back (albeit with a better haircut).

I wonder how many will be fit after Saturday. Took a lot of bodies on the line stuff in the second half on Saturday?

We have Ben Youngs back with Tigers this week - could be key with some experience vs Irish away.

Could be tougher than the Sarries match arguably. Irish will only likely have Arundell and Ben White missing with OHC also injured. Otherwise a fairly normal squad to pick from for them.

I'm not playing the prediction game this weekend, neither on the team or the result front.

In pennance for the misjudgements of last week I shall follow the age old adage of still tongue in a wise head and hope I don't end up owing Posh Richard a pint and that any Remy going ends up in me, not Father.

Irish very settled, Jackson pulling the strings and they’re a real “team”. Pearson impresses me. This will be tricky, coming off a 6 day turnaround.

I wonder if Liebenberg will be rested, given it looked like he was due to start on the bench on Sunday?
