You can't lead with the arm away from your body, except an open palm. It's pretty clear-cut. The only possible mitigation is that he's a little off-balance due to the tackle.

Do i believe he purposefully elbows the player? Unless he's recently been training with Buakaw then absolutely not! My point was more about the intent. Manu has done this his whole career, when something is wired into your brain your whole playing career sometimes these things are hard to fix. Like I said unfortunately it's a fend that has gone wrong,it looks terrible in slow motion and so do the still images but just an unfortunate accident in full speed. It is a red though in todays game sadly but that's where we are

I don't think it's deliberate, but that's the same for a lot of red card offences.

That's why we need the 20 minute red card,or something along those lines. It just irks me that that rugby incident and deliberate foul play are treated the same

Hodnett really is a useless TMO - she tells Sir that it was a no arms tackle, Sir clearly doesn’t hear correctly and she shuts up and says nothing else.

Once again Manu shows great value to his club! Finally not injured, not playing for England and … he sees RED … all very familiar story fortunately this time we’re not paying

What on earth is the TMO doing in the saints game? Why no penalty or yellow at the restart

No penalty because the offences took place before the try, no yellows because the referee said so. Not sure why you’re calling out the TMO.

Very good 2 points for Sale considering they were down to 13 men twice. Teams pulling away in the playoff chase now

Looking at this, how we lost to Saints I have no idea…
I was at Brentford for London Irish vs Saints in the cup last week.. considering Saints put out a very similar team to the one that beat us, i couldn't figure that out either.
