An Australian Borths I guess.

One question - when do you think we are likely to see other coaching appointments?
He left the Aus set up straight away, so my guess is he's working with Tigers behind the scenes assembling his backroom. I reckon we'll get to know fairly soon, we probably all have a wish list for these too?

Very similar type of coach to Borthwick in every area nearly
Extremely highly rated by Aus touted as Rennie replacement
Have 4 years on paper guaranteed as no way Aus rugby has the money to pay out Eddie from a 4 years contract.

Willis would be quite the get, I am not overly keen on Moriarty and while I like Henderson I would rather see the young guns get a chance.

Completely agree.

I would be surprised if any of them signed apart from OHC. This is "Ruck" so it probably complete rubbish. It says he has a 6 man list then it says a 5 man list etc etc...

New coach wants to sign a few players (amazingly including some linked to us before) and "some players" will leave. Well, whatever me, players leaving. My word, what a scoop for the illustrious Ruck!

Non paywalled interview where McKellar talks about why he took the Tigers job and how it all came about
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Thanks Tigerfeet. Great article. Let’s hope our new coach is, like Borthwick, given time to get things right after all it’s World Cup year so we will be missing nearly the whole first 15!

Yes not an ideal time to start from the aspect of player availability, but should be interesting to see how coaching and players develop. Just hoping that we don't lose our home grown coaches.

I hope he doesn't base the whole game around Pollard, as good as he is, we need to learn the mistakes of when we did that with Manu, he barely played, and we played like we didn't have a game plan!

Despite that, an exciting interview!
