Looking at table could be any of Sharks, Saracens, Quins or Edinburgh at home…..
Sharks at home, Edinburgh would need a BP win and Sarries to get TBP and LBP
Sarries win with Edinburgh getting nothing would give a home tie v Quins
Sarries win and Edinburgh get a 1 BP and lose by less than 14 points brings Edinburgh to MWWR
Edinburgh win and Saracens visit MWWR…..there are some other permutations dependant but getting complicated.

To win is not as important as playing with style!

Must say Karl Dickson is reffing pretty well in the Toulouse v Munster game.
Re: Other fixtures - 20th to 22nd January 2023
Lesson for Tigers about taking 3 points when on offer.

Re: Other fixtures - 20th to 22nd January 2023
It’s all about the context though. If you’ve got your foot on the throat of the opposition then the tendency is to go to the corner and look for 7 rather than 3. If it’s clear you’re not making inroads then I get it, kick 3 and go again. The Sale game, I could see why we’d go corner, try and make an early statement. I guarantee if we kick 3 vs Saints, someone will be on here moaning why we didn’t go for the corner !!
Re: Other fixtures - 20th to 22nd January 2023
Indeed......but leading by a point with a difficult kick Toulouse chose to trust their kicker, who was on song, and take the three. Pushing the game out of penalty range.westwinds31 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 22, 2023 5:09 pm It’s all about the context though. Could we have slotted a kick to push us to more than 6 in front against the Ospreys?
Toulouse were pragmatic and took their shots in a tight game.

I was at the game and the partisan crowd in the stadium were far from happy with some of his decisions!

As it stands Edinburgh lead by 4, so if it stays like this we're at home to Edinburgh. If Edinburgh extend the lead so Sarries miss a LBP we'll host Saracens. If Sarries make a comeback then we play Quins...
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Edinburgh score a try to go 18-9 up with the conversion to come (Itoje in the bin for 8 more min)
As it stands we'll host Sarries
