Depends if they get a TBP or LBP. If they do they could still qualify with a win at our place

It's very difficult to select/predict the team when we have no idea if the following will be available;
Weisse, Martin, Montoya, Porter, Watson, Ashton, Cronin.

I agree that with the 6Ns coming up some players need game time, but likewise we want to beat Ospreys well, get a home last 16 draw and keep up the momentum for Saints on the 28th.........who said it was easy being a head coach/selector!!

In WW we trust, I think :smt003

Just seen the news about Weise! Let's hope it's not serious. Cracknell to 8,The Berg at 6 and Reffell at 7 then. Although I wouldn't mind seeing 6.Cracknell 7.Hanro 8.Jansen either

It's on the suspension/injury thread. Not verified by club but says its an indefinite period out with a back injury. Don't know how reliable the guy is ,others might

Play the England lads if fit but there is also an argument for starting to get people playing within the team to be used during the 6 nations .
Also need to look at getting Wolstenholme some game time ahead of Saints if we do loose Youngs and JVP.

Whatever I’m sure Wigglesworth will look forward to having some time to develop the team without the away travel issues and certainly not having to spend nights in hotels as they will have had to with Falcons and Clermont
surely it’s top 4 for a home tie not top two

Yes it's top 4 for a home tie in the round of 16. 1 v 8,2 v 7,3 v 6 etc. I think he means top 2 gets you a home quarter and semi though but not completely sure on that.

Yes top 4 in each of the 2 pools gets a home tie last 16. What I’m unsure of do the seedings carry through to the quarter finals, in which case top 2 is preferable, or if it’s a redraw

I think last year if you finished top 2 you got a home draw in the semis if you got through but might be wrong.

As far as I can see if a lower seed gets through they get a home QF but an away SF. So it definitely pays to finish as high as possible to get a home QF and a home SF. Say for example a team that finish 8th in one of the group beats the team that finished 1st they would get a home Quarter but if they won that they would then be away if they play a higher seed in the semi. Teams are seeded as they finish in the group stage. Hope that helps

Yes top 2 is a home QF and home SF. Is it still home ground or home country ground?

Am I reading this right but if we win our group we could be away in the SF? That can't be right!

Yes,we will be QF2 or QF4 if we finish first or second. So home QF but away SF. But it will probably be Sarries anyway if we get that far

The top team in each group is guaranteed home advantage in 16, QF and SF if they keep winning.
2nd place team in each group is guaranteed home advantage in 16 and QF if they keep winning.
3rd and 4th place in each group are guaranteed home advantage in 16 and will gain home advantage for QF if they win the round of 16
