Steward
Potter
Scott
Kelly
Watson
Atkinson
Van Poortvliet
Whitcombe
Montoya (c)
Cole
Chessum
Henderson
Martin
Reffell
Wiese

Oghre
Cronin/Leatigaga

Liebenberg & Porter rested. Of the two I'd be half tempted to keep Kelly and Porter together, but think Scott could do with the gametime.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

TFS. JVP will almost have one of his England rest weeks with Youngs starting and Wigglesworth on the bench.

Rest games required for Clare, Liebenburg, JVP and Porter I reckon. We'll need to go meaty up front.

Cronin/Whitcombe, Montoya, Cole
Chessum, Green
Martin, Weise, Reffell
Youngs, Atkinson
Kelly, Scott
Watson, Steward, Potter

Oghre, Whitcombe/Leatigaga, Heyes, Wells, Cracknell, Wigglesworth, Burns, Cokanasiga/Murimurivalu/Saumaki.

Montoya has been carrying an injury, I would give him another week off & Wiese off the bench maybe, those 2 are going to be really important during the 6N.

Apart from a swap at 9 the same back line might be a good idea, to see if some continuity helps the attack.

I haven’t been to a home game in such a cold snap since I moved back to the area and took a season ticket. Does the pitch have under-floor heating?

(I remember that big tent thing at Filbert Street - guess I’m showing my age there)

I'd assume we'd bring Steward back in for Simmonds as well. Apart from one good kick chase he wasn't really in the game Vs the Ospreys.

Montoya looked fine when he played, I know he picked up a knock during the AIs but don't think it was anything serious. Against that Clermont pack we'll need extra quality.

Just ground covers as far as I know. Problem may be that temperature in Leicester isn’t forecast to get above freezing till Saturday during the day, with it going down yo minus 5 Friday night.

I’m not sure if these hybrid pitches are less prone to freezing b

Montoya took a whack against Bristol & he had definitely got extra padding across his ribs already, as for Simmons that was his first game of the season, being a winger for us isn't the easiest job in the world & as we appear not to trust Edwards yet, perhaps he might get the 21 shirt.

I think we have hot air blowers that blow under the covers. Perhaps we should go back to clearing the straw. :smt048
