Swing low to be replaced with, Eeengland, Eeengland, Eeengland and clap, clap, clap clap clap, clap clap clap clap, England!

Cotter (of the realistic ones) seems to me the only viable one of the quality needed. TBH I am losing hope.
McFarland’s Ulster are 3rd in the URC.
Cheika took Australia to the World Cup final, has won the European cup & won the Super 14
Townsend has built on Cotter’s success at Scotland & I believe has a better win %

All three have been credibly linked with us. All three have the quality needed. If you’re not happy with that, what do you want?

Twickenham crowd would have to remember there is a game on in between their visits to the bars first. A £150 ticket to enter the worlds biggest pub is a bit steep for my blood

Interesting, what makes you say that? Inside info?
Just the fact that Pinchen stated on RL that WW had been set zero targets and he would be in considered for the permanent position of HC . Now Tigers have said WW is off and Pinchen has stated publicly that somehow WW is committed to finishing this season successfully. What ever the heck that means? It simply does not add upto me

Ah ok, you don’t know anything though, just your opinion.

Not sure that's fair on some of others.

I mean Chieka won Super Rugby with NSW, The Rugby Championship with Australia, was named world coach of the year (2015), won the league with Leinster, won the European title with Leinster and took Australia to a world cup final.

Townsend led Glasgow (yes, Glasgow) to the Celtic League title and generally turned n average side into one that's regularly in the mix. Took a Scotland side who had a good foundation under Cotter and gave them a good attack and even more abrasive. No longer the rugby whipping boys on the international stage.

Dan McFarland was an assistant at Connacht under Lam, with the Irish Wolfhounds, Glasgow under Townsend and Scotland. Having paying his dues at those very good levels he took over at Ulster and they've been revitalised and are normally in the mix for silverware playing some very physical but also attacking rugby.

Leon MacDonald is the least experienced of those listed but he served an apprenticeship under Robertson at the Crusaders before rejuvenating the misfit of the Kiwi Super Rugby clubs the Auckland Blues. They were runners up to the Crusaders last time out having been perennial under achievers for a number of years. He's been linked to the Scottish job and to returning to work with Robertson with the ABs should Razor land that job. He's one to watch in the coaching side of things.

I thought we were talking about Vern, Warren has now started with Wales so too late for him.
I was, I guess you may not be aware of Jim Hamilton's infamous rabbit story.

Its pretty simple - SB was only allowed to take KS from contract due to costs and also not wanting to rob Tigers totally mid season. The rest would have to follow as per the original plan which was all to go at end of season. We had to let SB/KS go and put in a contingency team for rest of season.
RW was on the short list - but lets be clear was unlikely to get the big job first time round. Andrea Pinchen referred to him as someone who will be DOR/headcoach one day, maybe at tigers.
SB is in place at England and settling on his team. He was always going to be interested in Aled and RW and they have probably been interviewed and offered now.
We had a shortlist of contenders from the same people who create the moneyball recruitment list at the time of original announcement and this initial phase has concluded.
Anyone we bring in will want their own team around them - as SB did with us and England.

Now we have announced RW and Aled are off - and I think anyone that knows them will know they are 100% committed guys and will give everything to the club for the rest of the season. They have earned that trust from us.

Nothing misleading, just a process that was fairly obviously coming our way. We were always going to be starting next season with a new coach and new support team.
I dont personally understand any criticism of the club in this....????

Do you think we need to pull one out of a hat? :smt017
Just need to make sure they are well stocked for pre season if it is Cotter.

Well said Sam. Throw in Lancaster who we have been linked with as sounding out last Summer, and it is clear that Tigers have aimed high with their replacement for Steve. If you look at the list of credible candidates, they are all of high calibre.

100% Bunchy. It is quite clear that some people are desperate to have a pop at the club, even without any evidence to back their claims up.

The vast majority of fans IMO are well aware that this process has come sooner than the club expected, however are also aware that the club had begun preparation for Steve leaving, last Summer. The club have been dealt a tough hand, and so far they have played it well. The list of names linked to us are of a high calibre & are exciting names.

Stop being a grump JG. Lots to be optimistic about with all three of those candidates. For me, Townsend and Cotter have their sides playing more attractive rugby while Czeika is more functional. All of them will kick less than what we've become used to and I'm pretty glad WW is leaving, considering some of the drops we've had served up since he took charge

It means you know literally nothing about what’s been going on at Tigers.

Two weeks ago you were confidently predicting that the club would screw the fans over by forcing Wiggy on us, on the cheap. That is quite clearly not the case.

Cotter, Cheika, Townsend, Lancaster, McFarland. All names linked to us by credible sources. All fantastic choices with decent CV’s & top quality coaches. If tigers land one of them, they’ve done well.

The conspiracy theory that Tigers will do all it can to appoint Wiggy has now proven to be false. You should have some decency to apologise.
Definitely works for the club this fella/lass :smt005
