Bath threw it away at the end there vs Quins...

Lost by 6 points.

Bailey missed 6 easyish points off the tee in the first half..

Twice in the last ¼ of the game Bath got a maul over the line then got held up. With the clock in the red Quins down to 13 they get turned over breaking out from the maul...
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Quins firmly in the top 4; it will be harder for us to break into it.

Still 11 games to go and the top teams will take points off each other. A win tomorrow will keep Tigers well in touch for top four.

Considering that we have had three home games and five away games (Exeter, Saints, Quins, Sarries and Bath)…..some of the toughest away games out of the way.

Taking another line out rather than the scrum after the last penalty seemed to be the wrong decision, as Ben Kay said on Comms. Bath seemed to lack the composure to stay on their feet as the mauls got close to the line and collapsed if themselves a foot too early to place the ball down. Odd game and makes our loss more annoying.

I counted seven times on the Bath v Quins commentary that they mentioned that Bath beat Tigers in their last game. Annoying or what ?

Agree with Offside. Quins had already shown that defending a scrum close to the line one man down is difficult.

Thought Mr. Brace had a decent game. Was so pleased to hear him telling Marler to shut up on more than one occasion.

Big Joe will be appearing as one of the ugly sisters in panto soon. Possibly with Coley after he hangs his boots up.

But relevant as it was a win with the last play of the game.

Jack Willis must have impressed the coach at Toulouse because he’s been picked for the starting XV in this afternoon’s Top14 game at home against Perpignan. What’s more, is that ex club mate Brad Shields is in the oppo’s back row.

Win tonight and we could be in the top 4, depending on the result at Gloucester, with both Saints and Quins still to play at MWWR

Gloucester look like they’re starting to get on top after a good first half v Saints
Yet another nasty leg injury on a plastic pitch ( to Singleton the Glaws hooker). .. bad enough for them not to show it again but I suspect the pitch not giving is a contributing factor.
Given all the laws that they are bringing in to prevent head injury, you would have thought some sort of study should be done on plastic pitches and the effects on leg injuries?!
