Re: Next England Head Coach (Pre &/or Post World Cup)
If Borthers is offered the top job then « adequate compensation » is a minor matter. That of paramount importance is a more than adequate replacement. I don’t know what Vern Cotter’s doing at the moment, but I’d be more than happy if he were to be approached.

I see the two as inter linked, I would want enough from the RFU to allow us to make lucrative offers to our top choices.Robespierre wrote: ↑Tue Dec 06, 2022 3:04 pm If Borthers is offered the top job then « adequate compensation » is a minor matter. Adequate level of compensation is crucial as to whom we can afford to appoint moving forwardRobespierre wrote: ↑Tue Dec 06, 2022 3:04 pm If Borthers is offered the top job then « adequate compensation » is a minor matter. I would assume Brett Deacon would take interim charge with help from those that remain

It was just a tweet from the journalist Chris Jones saying Tigers had cancelled their press conference. It's now been deletedScott1 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 06, 2022 2:42 pmPage does not exist TFSTigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Tue Dec 06, 2022 2:22 pm https://twitter.com/chrisjonespress/sta ... HFLjw&s=19

Thnaks but as we know only too well the fact that a coach is under contract means didly squat in realitywigworth wrote: ↑Tue Dec 06, 2022 3:17 pmBlackett is currently employed by the Scarlets.sapajo wrote: ↑Tue Dec 06, 2022 3:16 pmI would prefer the likes of Diamond or BlackettJimmy Skitz wrote: ↑Tue Dec 06, 2022 3:13 pm I would assume Brett Deacon would take interim charge with help from those that remain

You obviously have a different idea of compensation to me.GB72 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 06, 2022 3:08 pmI see the two as inter linked, I would want enough from the RFU to allow us to make lucrative offers to our top choices.Robespierre wrote: ↑Tue Dec 06, 2022 3:04 pm If Borthers is offered the top job then « adequate compensation » is a minor matter. Re: Next England Head Coach (Pre &/or Post World Cup)
No, that is simply one side of the position. The RFU want to pay as little as possible, we want to get paid as much as possible, common sense does not come into it, negotiations do and a figure that we agree will be based on the success or otherwise of said negotiations. The RFU do not have total control. See my post on the other thread about how it works and the comparison to a football transfer (which is effectively what this is).
