After 2 days and a delivery with a few issues I’m glad to announce we have the newest Leicester tigers fan about-Effie Anne. Mum and baby doing brilliantly!Tykger wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 8:16 pmAmazing result from Tigers , they really delivered. How was Mrs BGE3095 with her delivery ...any news ???Bge3095 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 8:02 am Like the looks of the team! We are definitely made stronger with a fully fit South African and Argentine contingent. On a side note I’m really liking the look of Cokanasiga think he could become a real good player.
Currently unsure if I’ll be able to watch the game on my phone as I am in the maternity ward waiting the arrival of my first child

Great news, you'll be able to explain how special her birthday was as the Tigers destroyed the Saints scrumBge3095 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 4:23 amAfter 2 days and a delivery with a few issues I’m glad to announce we have the newest Leicester tigers fan about-Effie Anne. It’s interesting Ian if you can catch any of the highlights of the Sarries Gloucester game the Gloucester pack achieved at least parity and scored a couple of push over tries, from what I could make out only Itoje was missing.Ian Cant wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 9:31 pm Couldn’t fault the effort of any of our squad: I was in the Barwell Stand and though Burns had a decent game. For some reason Saints just couldn’t cope with our forwards yet it was almost their same pack that pushed us all the way in the semi!
Another tough incredibly game next week when we won’t be able to bully the Sarries’ pack. I’m going so hope others are making the effort to support our great team.
Obviously they’ll be out for revenge next weekend

Well I was expecting a close game and got one.
1) because of the changes in Tigers personnel
2) Franklins gardens
3)Saints fielding the best available first team
We managed to take the officials out of the game by good decision making.
Saints quite frankly have a good attacking mind set and used it well in the first 20 mins. Then typical Saints ran out of gas.
This led to fatigue poor judgement calls then pens and Cards. ( Have we not seen this before?)
The pack did a job and was all over Saints and they had no answer Power Power and then more Power. Even Dayglo was impressed. YBY gave the forwards line breaks and better attacking options
I got the feeling Freddie was feeling the pressure of Pollard and over egged it a bit.
I think the score line flattered a little but we are an 80 - 85 minute per game squad. Cole immense.

When Nadolo goes I would like to see a backline of
9. JVP
10. Pollard
11. Potter/Watson
12. Kelly
13. Cokanasiga
14. Porter
15. Steward
We will miss Nadolo attacking threat but Porter and Cokanasiga both are very dangerous strike runners.
Gopperth IMO either starts at 10 or is on the bench with Phil getting the start at 12 in Kelly absence.
Also thought Saints looked gassed before the cards started to come, our fitness looked massively better especially in the forwards.

Porter is no slouch and could fill the carrying option off the left wing when Nadolo goes.
Cracknell turning into a very shrewd MVS replacement. Off the bench 79 metres made from 11 carries with one clean break. Great physicality.

Personally given Pollard looks to be approaching fitness I'd be tempted to start him 12 till Kelly is fit. Gives him time to settle into our attacking play away from first receiver plus gives that strike option at 12.

Spoilt for choice when and if anyone is available. Gopperth has none nothing wrong for me, charge down kick v Exeter aside. Issue is he doesn’t offer the running threat of a Kelly, Porter, Scott. Certainly think that Cocanasinga deserves a starting spot if he continues his upward gradient.
Re Nadolo I do wonder if they are working with Saumaki behind the scenes to try and give some sort of replacement. Of course he doesn’t offer the same physical threat, few do, but at nearly 17 stone and plenty of wheels he could be a real presence.
