It can be cyclical with Student sides and depends on their in take. Few years back Loughborough was the place to go, but there is plenty of competition from the likes of Hartbury and Exeter these days.

With no matches for 1st team, could some of them also go out on loan to keep match fit? Would boost takings at any of those clubs if 1 of our Stars turned out. Just a thought to help build the game!

I was kind of thinking, Chessum Snr, Dolly, Kelly etc returning from injury would give them game time, but yes I am aware but only 23 or so can play next week.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s an extended squad with it being a friendly with a bench of around a dozen as in pre season games.

Manz at 5
Cusick at 13
Brrowning at 23

In Nottingham's Championship Cup game vs Jersey.

So Nottingham for their cup game have Browning on the bench, while we have a Nottingham loanee winger on our bench

So important for future development that these young men continue to be exposed to the physical nature of championship rugby and will help with their progress into the senior team.
