Exeter have announced their team announcement has been delayed till 2pm.

Also some people saying some of the casual workers who do bar work etc at the stadium have had messages saying they don't need to work Sunday as they may not get paid.

So meetings at 12:00 and announcements at 13:00hrs. Teams announced 14:00 (if there is one).

Steve Diamond has posted they're going ahead with a reduced capacity of 5,000 guessing they can't staff for more than that.

That's a statement and a half!!

Especially posted on the official club Twitter saying they want a clean break from the owners

I'm with OldHob in being anymore confident in their future. Ground holds more than 10,000 so subject to LA inspection and cert under Sports Grounds Safety Act '75. In that there is a prime duty to maintain communication and safety with the crowd including need for Stewards. I'm guessing it's the number of Stewards that has reduced the crowd numbers to the next tier under the Act of 5,000.

That's Ground safety; no reference to financial safety.

From the release I have just read, it would appear this match is going ahead becuse of the good will of the staff and I suspect that they are doing it knowing that they are not going to get paid. That said, they are at home again next week and have another payroll the week after and I suspect that good will is running out and that this will reach a conclusion one way or another in the next 2 weeks.

Definitely, it's been confirmed this game is happening with no new funding, so is probably only going to be staff/volunteers only running it

That would explain the reduced capacity at the ground, only enough to manage a crowd of £5000.00.

It's all a very sad and regrettable state of affairs, but seems to me this is just extending the agony for all concerned...

I guess much will depend on what assurances people have regarding the payroll being paid the following week.
