Worcester's prospective new owners may have fallen out with the RFU

Also seems Wasps may well be staying in the Ricoh...
Can’t read the article but I understood there was talk of the new owner demolishing the ground for warehouses.
Even if they could stay there how are they going to survive financially on championship crowds

RFU have met today and are urging the administrators to look at other bids for the club as they refuse to approve the takeover

Are they being as onerous to Wasps? I know the situations are slightly different as Wasps don't have any where to actually play at the moment, but surely if they were pushing the same stuff onto Wasps they wouldn;t be happy about it either?

Or are the RFU right and the O'Toole lot are not to be trusted?....

The statement from Sandford yesterday seemed to mainly be complaining at things that are in the RFU Regulation 5.

I have no info if Wasps are having the same restrictions on their new deal, but the fact they seem to be negotiating a rent deal to stay at the CBS seems to suggest they're trying to fulfil the obligations of Reg.5

The RFU is pretty damming of the current bidders..

Ah, maybe they're right to be poking them a bit harder then.

What I can't figure out is why the RU were seeming to make demands about Worcester and not selling land around the ground when Wasps no longer have a ground?

Because you cannot put tooth paste back in the tube, but you can stop it being squeezed out in the first place?

I am quite surprised at Wasps new owner being their old COO and a director while they racked up c.£40m of debts in the last 5 years, and them being allowed to move another 11 miles to a stadium that appears to be between two large factories or distribution centres with no parking and surely limited public transport.

But on Worcester if they seriously only presented non-audited partial management accounts without any proof of shareholder funds then I'm not sure what the RFU were expected to do.
Goooooodeeeeeyyyyy!
