Nice to get an in game update. Are you there? I cannot find any other means of update for the girls’ games. NO radio, no link to get scores etc. 1pm kick off? Latest score?

36-0 FT.

Cheltenham improved in the 2nd half and Tigers didn't really click in attack, but they impressed defensively to keep a clean sheet. Most good work in attack came from hard carries and offloads with support. Sometimes forcing it a bit, but ambitious and occasionally brilliant.

I think our pack looks really solid, and the 9 Richardson had plenty of energy, but the backs need work, which they will get with time together over the season.

Scrum and maul very good. Lineout a bit scrappier, but it's a harder skill to get right. Competed hard on their put-in.

13 Childs is a decent place kicker. Kicking out of hand and kick reciept through the team not great, but not terrible, though that is pretty common outside of the best Women's teams.

Impressed with the backrow of Noon, McBrien and Turner. Prop Ugiagbe already a bit of a cult figure.

Decent crowd. 1000+ at a guess.

This was probably going to be one of the harder games, so we look like we'll be aiming for top spot. Credit to the club and coaches, as they look like they're building very nicely.

Thanks for the helpful post, Darc.

Just went to the Tigers’ website to what was described as “highlights” on LTTV, but was disappointed to see 53 secs of random slow motion snippets set to music. Hope we get a little more than this in the future!

Club might want to look at West Brom have done in Football.

53 seconds of the Mens Team would probably have been enough this weekend.

Is Sunday’s fixture against Worcester cancelled ( obvious reasons ), as it is still shown as on at England rugby etc.

I think this is Worcester Rugby that the Women’s team are playing, different to Worcester Warriors Women. The Warriors Women are in the Allianz Premiership (or will hopefully continue to be this season).

Edit. This should be the game going ahead as planned for the Women.

Another big win, away at Worcester! 7-58

Sharing top spot with Loughborough and Novocastrians.

Indeed. Yesterday's fixture was the amateur Worcester RFC.

Good win again. It's interesting looking back through the player profiles how much Prem 15 experience Macqueen has managed to gather, particularly from the early Lightning sides.

Ugiagbe, Jade Shakespeare, Becky Noon, and Zoe Warrington have all played in packs alongside players such as Sarah Hunter and Cath O'Donnell. Natasha Richardson, Amy Relf and Eliie Turner have played alongside Katy Daly-Mclean and Emily Scarratt; Richardson often at 12 between the latter two.

They’ll need as much high level experience as possible if they’re successful in getting into the premier 15’s next season.

It was clear to me watching at WR that the likes of Ugiagbe, Noon and Richardson were standouts at this level.

I wonder if we'll look to pick up players from the Worcester and Wasps teams. Lots of international players presumably with uncertain futures. Likely significant player churn across the league provides opportunities for us. Plus players getting exposure at the WC.

Imagine if we could grab Abby Dow..
