The new page on the main website has some interesting info, and the mission statement for the team. Worth a read.

https://www.leicestertigers.com/leicest ... omens-team

Some things that stood out to me:
  • Almost 5000 have commited to women's season tickets so far, double our target for 24/25!
  • Commitment to a double header where they expect a sellout, so probably Northampton and Lightning
  • Over £750k invested so far in the programme
  • 'Project Genesis' is our 6 year strategy to becoming self-sustaining by 2027
  • Confirmation all Prem15s matches will be at Welford Road
  • New period-resistant white shorts will be introduced for the upcoming season
  • New pathway setup with Brooksby Academy, mirroring the men's side
  • Still searching for a principal partner, on a six figure annual commitment
  • The principal partner's main role will be to to help support a brand-new facility for the women directly across the road from Oval Park
  • We'll train and play exhibition/cup games at the new facility, and it will also be used by women’s teams from both Leicester Universities and our own inner city inclusion team

Having watched the Prem 15 final yesterday I think our girls have their work cut out next season. 😉 Good luck to them though. Big shout for G/H though too. Best team by far won and the donations to MND are admirable.

Awkward when you get players coming up from the lower levels who are "100% English" but have been selected to represent other lower tier nations - Katie Childs (Sweden), Tanya Bird (Phillipines) spring to mind. Assuming they make the grade in the P15s, do they now have to be cast aside in the not too distant future?

Wouldn't Katie be EQ under heritage rules & not playing for Sweden for more than 3 years?

I was starting to get a little concerned, with us going quiet, and Ealing reeling off their signings.

I want to put a bit of cold water on the Scaz talk, as she's said nothing to suggest she wont be at Lightning next season.

Yeah my post was very much hope rather than any form of expectation

Premier XV's now rebranded to "Premiership Women’s Rugby" aka PWR
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

I know the majority of those will have taken the option on their main season ticket but that really is excellent work by all concerned
