There was definitely urgency from the Aussie midfield, they are screaming at Foley to get on with it. I’ve never seen that end scenario before, so I agree, you would have to assume the ref had already pre warned them.

Note to ref's foul play does NOT need to involve the head for it to be a red card.

From my view he deliberately targets the knee and that suggests he was trying to "injure"

There are ACL injuries that happen from legal crocodile rolls but that is a deliberate twist of the knee that could end a career.

Tupaeas, is out for the season!!

Swain had been cited for it.

I'm not normally one for long bans but not gonna lie getting Hawkins Clark vibes from the incident. Can't see how it wasn't an attempt to injure.

I know the match ending has taken the headlines but this for me is the BIG issue from the game.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Just the ref mic audio.

Which shows the end point, can even hear Foley (who claims not to hear the time on call) say ok to the ref when he says he's putting time back on

Even if he hadn't heard the ref he'd have heard his teammates screaming at him to kick the ball out. Foley was trying to be clever and called on it. Ref was clear, it's an unusual call but he was warned.

Swain banned for just 6 weeks... so he'll be back playing rugby before Tupaea will be off crutches it seems...

So, O'Gara gets 6 weeks for being rude to someone and Swain gets 6 weeks for potentially ending a fellow professional's career. Have I got that right???

Appalling decision. Should've been a huge ban.

Mr Swain appears to be more "Plank" than the "Plank" himself...I thought he was harshly done by in the Johnny Hill incident, but this was approaching the Callum "Thug" Clarke level.

Australia haven't exactly had the moral high ground in this Championship.

Australia have also lost more moral highground by "naming" Swain in the Australia A squad. Amazingly it means he has the right number of matches missed to be available for the Autumn Internationals.

If he hadn't been selected in that squad his ban would cause him to miss the AI's guess how many other regular first team picks there are in that squad... none. Basically they've added him in the squad to ensure he's eligible for the AI's not because they'd pick him...
