Big shout out to Chessum the fact that Itoje wasn’t missed much says a lot. Definitely a test standard player now.

Thought JVP had an outstanding debut

Steward can definitely be called world class now I feel, does everything incredibly well. If he keeps on this trajectory we are talking a very special player. JVP looks to the Manor born too, apart from one dodgy pass he was superb.

JVP looked solid, box kicking was good, the odd poor pass but made some sharp breaks.
Porter was again solid, made most of his tackles in a busy lane against powerful Aussie runners, also made some good carries.
Chessum came on for Maro and should his quality, good at the set piece, tackled well and matched up to his Aussie compatriots.
Steward was superb under the high balls, growing into a world class 15, shoe in for the next Lions tour if he carries on.
Heyes showed good work in the scrum, a few handling errors but was a solid replacement.

No was Jack Willis, 6-2 bench split.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Surprised that Joseph came onto the bench instead of Marchant? So he might have an injury.
Also I guess being an ‘apprentice’ player means nothing nowadays.

Thanks Postiger2 for jinxing JVP, can you do it again next week?Postiger2 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 09, 2022 11:27 amJVP having a stormer so farPostiger2 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 08, 2022 5:49 pm This will be a very unpopular opinion but I'm not sure JVP is ready to start for England just yet. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a fabulous talent and he will definitely go on to be an England regular (injury permitting), I just personally feel it's a bit soon for him to be starting a high-pressure test match.
I genuinely hope he makes me look an idiot with his performance on Saturday and I will happily eat humble pie. I just think he's still a bit of a rough diamond.
His box kicks were spot on, and the speed of his passes looked better than Care.

Don't know if it was confirmed but there were rumours that Dingwall had a rolled his ankle and Marchant had a knock.No6_Flanker wrote: ↑Sat Jul 09, 2022 2:34 pmSurprised that Joseph came onto the bench instead of Marchant? So he might have an injury.
