If Tommy turnover has signed a new contract hopefully will be confirmed by the club along with other extensions soon.

I think the thing in the article was suggesting that his last contract was set up as a rolling contract so he wouldn't need a new deal and therefore stay at Tigers and remain eligible for Wales.

Am I the only who is concerned this isn't the greatest news?

Reffell might be on a rolling contract but does that mean we can adjust his wages? If he signed the contract as a squad player, he's now a starter and an international, that would instantly demand more wages.

I’m sure the contract allows for suitable wage increases, based on a number of factors, at certain stages.

We've lost our international standard openside. So I have no problem putting a different international standard openside.

These rolling contracts whilst they will automatically renew there is a date by which both parties can inform the other they don't want the auto-renew (this was Bristol's cap issues earlier in the season, they had a few of the players they were planning on releasing pass the auto-renew date so they had to keep them) so if either party wants to look elsewhere they can, but as it stands we can avoid the 60 cap rule entirely.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Tom Horton has joined us according to fox sports in Australia - Seems a good prospect to cover when Montoya is away with international duty if he doesn't make the Aussie squad.

Given his age the same Sydney University team as Potter and Porter then. They got anymore former mates that fancy a trial?

TCD remains on the squad page so I assume he's sticking around and this deal is going to allow Vanes to go and play regular Championship rugby to gain experience.

as things stand you could argue Vanes will start off as number 2 choice here, I'm not so sure he will go anywhere I could see him being this season's Dolly

With PRC games being earlier in the season 4 hookers are going to be required.

So will it be Clare and TCD in the GP and Vanes and Horton in the PRC to start with?

I'm not so sure TCD is ahead of Vanes

Has Vanes any GP appearances? I know TCD has. But that doesn’t mean anything tbf and for all we know Horton could hit the ground running and be our bench GP hooker.
