Did Horton get injured yesterday, or is he heading back down under? Shame he's looked good since his arrival. Oghre coming in post Taufete'e injury plus Horton on top makes sense.RagingBull wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 8:21 am Rugby paper saying that

Oghre has signed a 6 week contract with us (guessing Horton replacement)

Horton scored in the last play of the game from a rolling maul so not that I can tell. Perhaps it is end of his contract with the Waratahs season starting soon, maybe he’s going the same time as Nadolo / Hegarty has gone?TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 8:43 amDid Horton get injured yesterday, or is he heading back down under? I think that was Parton signed by Sarries, though I’m sure I saw somewhere that Sarries were interested in Loader and Watson - but I also can’t find where!longlivethecrumbie wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 8:30 amLoader has signed for Sarries, hasn't he? Think Horton was announced as a short term contract to start with, presumably to go back down under for the Super Rugby Season?
To win is not as important as playing with style!

Oghre would be a decent potential long term signing though, he’s a good player capable of playing in the back row and not looking out of place
But a lot of work is needed for his set piece work.

Telegraph reported Parton Sarries and that they were interested in Loader as are we. He may stay with Irish though.Wayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 8:51 am Think Horton was announced as a short term contract to start with, presumably to go back down under for the Super Rugby Season?

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2022/23 - Prisoner of Oadby Pre-Season
He's pretty good at the back of a rolling maul and driving over close to the line. Throwing and scrum might be weaknesses but we have the coaches and playing staff to push him on in those areas. He'd be a good signing, I'm surprised he's still available to be honest.RagingBull wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 9:33 am Oghre would be a decent potential long term signing though, he’s a good player capable of playing in the back row and not looking out of place

Hope they don't come looking to sign Dolly, perhaps Rogers would be better.RunTigerRun wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 8:48 amI think that was Parton signed by Sarries, though I’m sure I saw somewhere that Sarries were interested in Loader and Watson - but I also can’t find where!longlivethecrumbie wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 8:30 amLoader has signed for Sarries, hasn't he? Taufete'e's injury replacement then potentially a longer deal depending on £££, Dolly's predicament etc. Good player, young, called up by EJ before, so one that's not to be sniffed at if he's available. It's a tough call, particularly with Vanes just breaking through, but ultimately will need to be once that on balance works in the club's best interests.

Hookers next season of Montoya, Dolly, Oghre, Clare and Vanes wouldn't be bad. Good EQP range, wouldn't likely cost too much and good availability spread.Hot_Charlie wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 1:04 pmTaufete'e's injury replacement then potentially a longer deal depending on £££, Dolly's predicament etc. Good player, young, called up by EJ before, so one that's not to be sniffed at if he's available. I imagine TCD will be released, and we haven't seen / been able to see enough of Taufete'e yet to judge, and Horton on a short term deal - something like that may happen.
