Agreed and being in the championship it’s likely to be a part time job toomol2 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 03, 2023 6:06 pm What player is going to commit to a club that doesn't exist in a meaningful form. Expecially as their former entity just went bump, leaving players and staff out of a job.
Sign elsewhere with security or take a punt on a side that 5 months out from the season have nothing in place?

I think it'll be a mixed bag of players who find themselves unable to get contracts elsewhere by July 1st.

Ay2oh
I think it means 10th tier. Whether that will ultimately prove to be the case is not clear.

Where they belong. Will they set up at Henley in Arden? I heard the planning permission only allows for 70 people present at any one time. Should be enough

Hopefully the same as the bodily area where the slammed door makes contact with Dayglo as he walks out of the HMRC offices....
Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.

Isn’t the original amateur Wasps RFC still in existence? I thought when the professional era arrived the club split and the amateurs continued playing in lower leagues (including junior age group rugby). Not sure if this is still the case - or if so what tier they are in - but the romantic in me would like to see the ‘disgraced upstart’ outfit just disband completely, and let the original club develop in its place!

Took the RFU long enough to see the light. Look forward to seeing them play at Fareham and Gosport rec sometime.

Re: Wasps in the mire - now in administration
mixed feelings the antics of the owners have caused pain to the real fans but also a lot of financial pain as well, the clubs that suffered because of the missed income from games while some games were played before the teams got pulled.
the antics of a certain bt presenter and the arrogance to think they could just walk away from some debts as they wern't rugby related will surely all debts of a rugby club are rugby related arent they?????
to the genuine wasps fans i do feel your pain caused by the disasters running your club into the ground.
All the clubs need to look closely as you cant run clubs on debt at some point it will catch up with you

You’ve got to feel a little for the loyal fans who have followed them around the south of England and then up to the Midlands. Perhaps not so much for the slight hubris that existed at the club’s higher levels.
But then I guess if it was good enough for Richmond etc…

I'm glad the RFU has seen sense, I take no pleasure in seeing Wasps get relegated to the bottom of the tree but that was the fate for Worcester, Richmond, London Welsh so Wasps shouldn't get a pass
