Always remember Cloughie in his glory days insisting development kids went to college to get a trade or A levels, and if they bodged it, they lost their Forest place too.

Whilst I sympathise with a rugby player wishing to continue to earn a living, there are thousands of job vacancies in this country, everywhere you go the excuse is always "sorry but its due to staff shortages".
There are thousands of job vacancys but if you've just taken a mortgage out based on your 150k earnings for the next three years you wont find many jobs paying that money to stack shelves.

Likewise the lads who earn 60-80k playing salary wont walk into a corporate role on that money without years of experience and will have to start from the bottom even if they do have a degree.
Like I said, I sympathise with his situation but anyone who is made redundant and wishes to survive, and if the appropriate position is not available, they have to take a pragmatic view and cut their cloth accordingly, sadly he may have to sell his house, hope not, but its a question of survival. Very sorry for them all and hope they all find new clubs.

He was having a bit of an off day as he also said that Ireland were playing the ABs in the AIs, which they're not 😁

Looks like the Wasps legends are trying to re-recruit those players who were made redundant from Wasps, no names mentioned other than Launchbury might be going to Quins
"If you want entertainment, go to the theatre," says Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill. "Rugby players play the game to win.15/1/21.

If they want to come back. Some may have sorted deals for 2023-24 already.

Also guess that there are a lot of questions that will need answering before players are willing to sign like where are they playing their matches, what league are they in, who is going to coach them, what is the budget for the squad even at championship level etc. Not sure that there would be enough solid infomation in place for a while for me to want to commit my future and risk missing out on other opportunities.

Confused by this, does that mean he's given up on future appearances for Wales?

No change to his situation at Saints.

Acccording to the Toulon blog (see below - in French), the deal is as good as done. He was in Toulon on Friday for a medical check-up and the results should be known shortly.
Nothing has yet been announced by either Northampton or Toulon, but all should be settled this week.
