Oops! I’d forgotten about Billy V! However, he must be nearing the twilight of his Test career, I’d have thought.
At 29 he's most definitely past it! :smt002 :smt003
Is he only 29? Sorry BV, thought you were well into your 30s!
He'll turn 31 the week after next year's RWC final. :smt001 He could even get to 2027. :smt003

In all seriousness, he was 18/19 when he became a fixture in the Wasps squad and debuted for England at 20 in 2013!

Rumoured last week and makes a lot of sense. He'll be a very good player on not a huge amount of money compared to Biggar with an exceptional backline outside of him.

Kyle Hatheral rumoured to be going to the Top 14, shame as he is EQP and was a real surprise package for Worcester last season, even if they manage to somehow survive as a club it seems like they're going to lose all their talent

I suspect he knows he's not quite on the England radar pre-World Cup so a pay day in France makes a lot of sense with his stock worth a lot more than when he arrived at Worcester.

Glaws have signed Zach Mercer for 23/24. Fantastic player.

I doubt he's that fussed about playing for England, he's a Saffa. Would have made a nice payday for him though and before Worcester he was playing lower leagues so at 27 he's not going to turn his nose up at a good salary boost.

The Worcester turmoil kicking into gear by the sounds of things with news that August’s pay won’t be settled in time. Finn Smith expected to sign for Saints, and rumours tonight that Ted Hill is leaving - on a reduced contract. Be a great pick up for pretty much every side

Sutherland would be the guy I would like to pick if there was any sleeve in our cap at all but I suspect that is out of the question. Whilst Cronin looks solid I still think Gence is the man we’re going to miss most and Rory would be a better fit.

VDM would be a handy replacement for Nemi also but hey ho we can but dream 😴

Both are on very substantial contracts. France or SRU assisted moves back up North are pretty much their only options I'd have thought.

I doubt we have sufficient cap for any big names even if they accept a lower amount. There are some young players or squad men that would be worth a punt plus some age grade players coming through that it wouldn't hurt to acquire. Clegg, Shillcock and Atkinson might interest us. There's Morozov if we were looking for another loosehead, at 27 he's had good experience and is reliable at scrum time. I doubt we are going to improve on Cronin anytime soon though.

I think as an EQP if EJ had come along inviting him to have a chance of playing for £20K per appearance he'd be unlikely to say no. :smt001
