From what I understand he's available for the world cup but nothing after.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2023 10:52 amCertainly settled in well, and is clearly their first choice pick at 6, their open side. As has been said who can blame him, that weather and family young enough not to have to worry about schooling.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2023 9:49 am https://twitter.com/StadeToulousain/sta ... u8jqw&s=19
At one point linked with us, Jack Willis signs to stay at Toulouse till 2026
It will be interesting to see whether England are still able to pick him, now he’s taken up a long term deal.

It's one of Borthwick's bug bears and something he wants to change (being able to select overseas based players), apparentlyRugbygramps wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2023 10:52 amCertainly settled in well, and is clearly their first choice pick at 6, their open side. Sounds like a decent plan, sign a 3 year contract abroad and look at returning at the end in time for the next World Cup if that is what you want. Also gives a bit of time to see how the mess that many of the English clubs are in pans out and if the RFU allow players from abroad to play for England in the meantime, all the better.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2023 11:15 amFrom what I understand he's available for the world cup but nothing after.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2023 10:52 amCertainly settled in well, and is clearly their first choice pick at 6, their open side. Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022
the EPC deal expires after the world cup doesn't it? I would expect some changes to selection rules, at the very least they need to copy the Welsh 25 cap rule, not that either should be restricting where players can play
Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022
Jacques Nienaber is stepping down as Springbok head coach after the WC to join Leinster as their head coach, interesting move for him
Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022
I wonder if the spectre of Rassie looms large. I always get the impression that despite Nienaber being the coach, it really is still Rassie's team.

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022
ProD2 club Biarritz Olympique are hoping that Ospreys and Wales scrum half Rhys Webb will sign for them next season.
If he does sign, Webb, 34 years old with 40 caps, will be playing in the French second division as Biarritz are currently a mediocre 10th, but he'll surely be paid quite well and it's a nice, but very expensive part of France to live.

Interesting. He's a big lad and on the fringes of England squads apparently.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Tue Apr 18, 2023 2:30 pm Sam Jeffries leaving Bristol to join an undisclosed overseas club

Eddie rated him apparently. I wouldn't be surprised if he's returning Oz.Hot_Charlie wrote: ↑Tue Apr 18, 2023 2:42 pmInteresting. I’m wondering if it’s Benetton they seem to be making some under the radar signings. Just a hunch nothing more.ABClub wrote: ↑Tue Apr 18, 2023 2:58 pmEddie rated him apparently. Sean O'brien (centre) to leave Exeter for Munster at end of season.
Another one - will the last one out switch off the lights.
