With his briefcase?......
To win is not as important as playing with style!

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022
Ealing are investing pretty heavily again.
Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022
Ealing need to invest in seating. Regardless of the actual attendance at other games that is the Premiership cost of entry.
Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022
Bath have demoted Hooper too ,he now reports to Van Graan rather than vice versa. Wise move from Bath!

Simon Hammersley retiring at 28 to "pursue a career outside the game". Was a nailed on starter for Falcons, who moved on when they got relegated (moving permanently to Sale alongside loanee Wilson).
I wonder if this has been caused by not being offered a financially competitive (viable) playing contract post salary cap reduction, either by a Prem or Championship club.

Probably yes. Most telling line in the article for me is why be paid £25k a year to be beaten up ribs cracked etc. it’s a while since I regularly used to follow Nat 2/3 rugby but it always used to amaze me how these boys would then go and do a normal job Monday to Friday after playing with that physicality on a Saturday.Hot_Charlie wrote: ↑Sun May 29, 2022 10:32 am Simon Hammersley retiring at 28 to "pursue a career outside the game". I suppose one small positive maybe that if some of these 70 or so pros want to continue to play then they will be able to spread their knowledge down the leagues a little

While he's fallen behind both James brothers at full back they both are used in the centre fairly regularly & with Rohan Janse van Rensburg leaving I'd have thought they'd want to retain him.Hot_Charlie wrote: ↑Sun May 29, 2022 10:32 am Simon Hammersley retiring at 28 to "pursue a career outside the game". It's not healthy for the game the number of players leaving when they still have a number of productive years left.
