PRC Semi final vs London Irish (A) - 26th April 2022
So we've seen the team vs Quins. A few days later we play London Irish in a semifinal.
For me backrow is interesting
Lets assume that nobody plays both tomorrow and Tuesday. We're getting tight on the backrow especially.
Of those who've played backrow for us this season (ignoring front rowers and Fijians)
Wiese - bench vs Quins
Liebenberg - starting vs Quins
Van Staden - injured still???
Reffell - weekend off
Chessum - banned
Martin - assumed injured
Robinson - starting vs Quins
Jansen - starting vs Quins
Wells - bench vs Quins
Agbongbon - weekend off
Ilione - weekend off
Koroiyadi - Eng U19s tomorrow
Hall - Notts tomorrow
Poulett - weekend off
Tweedy - Notts tomorrow
Looking at that there's only 4 back rowers fit who aren't playing tomorrow (Reffell, Ilione, Agbongbon & Poulett) so I suspect they may make up our back row vs London Irish. Or do people think Reffell will be rested and someone doubles up in games (back row is surely hard to do that with)?

Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Henderson at 6 perhaps if he’s fit?TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Fri Apr 22, 2022 2:49 pm So we've seen the team vs Quins. A few days later we play London Irish in a semifinal.

I think they may well ask Robinson to play twice along with Ilione and Agbongbon

Start moving Henderson there and we may be tight on locks? (Henderson, L Chessum are the only 2 I think that are definitely looking fit)
Chester Owen played lock for us in the PRC, but is actually a back row so maybe he's the bench cover for backrow?
Douglas-Bridge also covered lock for us in the PRC so another option at lock if Henderson plays 6

Re: PRC Semi final vs London Irish (A) - 26th April 2022
If that's the case expect a very early sub tomorrow pre 50min. Possibly why Wells is on the bench. Wiese comes on for Robinson early doors, Wells then provides bench cover for 2nd and backrow.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Fri Apr 22, 2022 2:53 pm I think they may well ask Robinson to play twice along with Ilione and Agbongbon
Quins have gone 6-2 bench so they plan on working the forwards hard!

Has anyone looked at the LI squad for the weekend. Are they putting a full strength side out or holding players back to put out a stronger midweek team.

Thanks ,I’m sure there was a game where we didn’t start with one natural lock in the squadTigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Fri Apr 22, 2022 3:01 pmYep 4 vs Newcastle, but 7 vs Sale, also played mainly backrow I think for Nottingham.Scott1 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 22, 2022 2:56 pmPoulett played lock v Newcastle didn’t he?TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Fri Apr 22, 2022 2:49 pm So we've seen the team vs Quins. Pretty strong tbh I think? Not an expert on their squad, but they play tonight so an extra day recovery...
