The officiating is mixed but the TMO makes it worse by pinging one thing one moment and ignoring it the next

Vanes has been good too
Has he gone the full 80 mins as well? That's a damn good shift.

The players don't deserve to have this win taken away from them by an incompetent TMO. Unacceptable

We stay top if they miss the conversion
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Young lads did well. TMO and ref less good in the last 10 mins. Feel this cup is pointless if it clashes with U20 and Premiership.

Yep. Disallowed our try, didn’t look at theirs, missed a blatant clear as day obstruction that could have won it for us, misses the pre-bind at the end there.. a Royal shafting.. big kick late on there to deny us a LBP.. shame.. deserved more than the 1 point.. TMO made the difference but Falcons probably deserved it over the 80

Here we go, blaming the ref again, the ref had a good game got 95% of the decisions right.

The TMO certainly didn't though. No-one is blaming the ref

Real positives in that for me.

Some great young players

Vanes
Edwards
Agbongbon
Jansen

Were the ones who stood out to me.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Thought we were worth 2 points. Shame it's only 1. Newcastle generally a better side, but we fought hard. Had some tough calls from the officials.

Vanes very good. Agbongbon and Jansen looked handy.

Kini anchored very well. Socino grew into it. Great finish from Sau.

Aniebonam and Richardson added some impetus off the bench.

Kobus is just a cursed player. What a disappointment.

Team tried hard. Hopefully the younger players will get something positive out of it...

Vanes was fantastic and Edwards looked much more assured than Law.. played well when he came on and kicked well
