Re: Wasps (A) - Sunday 9th January 2022 - 3pm
I must admit I have an uneasy feeling about this game.....
Then I always do!
Noticed the Irish fellah advertised today's game as "Wasps, looking to draw a line under Leicester's run." Rather than "Leicester, looking to continue current form."
Paranoid? More?
.........But it is irritating!

A loss is going to come sooner or later.
Winning runs are great but they can be both a target on your back and a monkey on your back.
At least we have built up enough points that when the losses do come it’s not like we will drop a place straight away or something

I will soon set off for The Ricoh which I nearly always go for a Tigers’ away match there. Fans are very good but I don’t like the stadium: it’s just a large football stadium and the chap on the tannoy is really annoying by trying to get the fans chanting! Just let both sets of fans get on with cheering their team.
Like others I too know Wasps have a knack of beating us especially when we are doing well!
Good luck Tigers.

West and Fifita withdraw for Wasps. Pretty big losses.

Hope it's nothing serious but good news for us

Hislop and Cardall move from the bench to starting XV and Gaskell and Nearchou move onto the bench. I’m guessing Gaskell isn’t 100% otherwise would have been in the match day 23 as he’s coming back from injury

That really does weaken their team. Definite opportunity for an away win here.
Expect plenty of kicks to Crossdale from Ford and Tigers looking to dominate the scrum

Sounds childish but I always remember us playing Wasps at home and the crowd sniggering when Tom Cruses name came up on the tannoy. Always makes me smile even though it’s a little silly

For some reason, I expected there to be a late withdrawal but expected it to be us with the change rather than Wasps. Certainly enhances our opportunity anyway. COYT

A Wasps friend at the ground says there looks way more Tigers fans than Wasps fans atm...
To be fair it's a lot shorter commute for Tigers fans...

Seems a good mix of fans so far but there are some yellow and black Tigers hats that are confusing the long distance fan ID!

How on earth wasn't that a knock on

Going to be one of those days....
