Don't forget that we've just offloaded Brink!
Re: New Salary Cap Breach?
Is that because we were on the brink of disaster?

That could be because we're worried about the number of win bonuses we're having to pay out.

Re: New Salary Cap Breach?
Regarding Brink. Realistically given the back row resources we have I would put him behind Hanro, MVS, Jasper, Reffell, Martin and Chessum. We also have Wells and Green that could play 6 in an emergency. Releasing him now makes financial sense. It also means more opportunities for the likes of Reffell, Martin and Chessum.
Tigers for the premiership and European Cup. Get behind the team and make some noise!!

It should be noted that it can't be for this season as the season hasn't been concluded and all credits etc calculated. So, it must be for either last season or the year before.
Re: New Salary Cap Breach?
Could it be us after the payouts to the 5 have been completed? It *could* be argued that severance pay could be included in the cap

Re: New Salary Cap Breach?
We do know Peter Tom stated all those payments came out in last season's financial year. We don't know definitely which season those payments went out in. We did have a number of players leave early (e.g. Taufua & Wallace) which may have been to counter that?

Thanks ,tbh though that's the team who I thought it would be the least likely to belonglivethecrumbie wrote: ↑Mon Dec 27, 2021 4:33 pmThere was a post on their Facebook page saying it was them and they were working with the SCM to get under the cap ASAP.

They have previous....regardless, it's all rather messy & anyone post the professional cheats will get a harsher treatment.
If it's I would expect heads to roll.
To win is not as important as playing with style!
