Hope you are right! :smt023

Outside of Martin who is playing a in a position we are out of depth looks like the England camp lads have been rested.

Interesting selection, looks like most teams have heavily rotated this weekend. Starting to think we might not see Taute in a playing capacity again and have to guess Muri is injured.

Don’t think the team is as weak as first thought. The back three could make something happen with both wingers wanting to prove something. Chessum was one of the standouts in the pre-season too. Massive bench too which could prove vital if it’s a close game going into the last quarter.

Was thinking the same.. assume so as I'd say he's above Kobus in the pecking order and can cover multiple positions

After the last 2 matches, I'm really looking forward to this one. Unfortunately I will be watching from home rather than my usual seat in the big stand (lost track of the current name) due to having to isolate ahead of a little hernia repair on Monday. I will be cheering the boys on from the sofa, but unfortunately no Chicken Balti pie washed down with a pint of Tiger this week!

Don't worry I'm sure he knows what he's playing at :smt002 :smt023

I am as surprised as you with the team selection but Borthwick knows Sarries well, he knows his squad and he's proven time after time already for us he knows what he's doing. If we are within 5 points or so of Sarries come the last 20 I fancy us for the win. That bench is immense. The conditions don't look great and it will be an arm wrestle up front but we can get the job done with this squad if all of the lads turn up and perform to the level displayed thus far this season. Discipline will be key with Farrell and Lozowski starting for them though.. need to cut out the indiscretions, especially with an all too eager to jump in TMO.

That's a good shout on the Eng training camp, no use pushing players to injury if we do have depth, hadn't considered the training camp affecting selection, it does make a lot of sense especially if we've been working on Sarries specific tactics this week while they were away.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

I’ve been hearing impressed noises about Saumaki, particularly over his power and general application. Only really seen his highlight reel and preseason appearances, but his timing when hitting opposition taking high balls stood out to me. Considering the potential for a 50/22 wary backfield, I wonder whether we’ve been keeping him up our sleeve with a plot to ruck to compete for the ball after the catch rather than in the air a la Steward. He, Burns and Van Wyk have had time to practice together, and I can see Borthwick having something a bit ‘special’ ready for this one. Intrigued…

Still think we’ll have the best No 10 on the field tomorrow :smt002
