Discipline, concerning. But.....
Pick & Drive, and lineout maul looking like to great weapons.
Wiese when he stays on the park is an absolute beast.
Some of these young forwards just do not look phased. Henderson always looks comfortable, Heyes did well, and I thought Hurd fronted up really well at scrum time for someone with relatively little experience. Late scrum with Whitcombe, Dolly and Hurd as the front row and they looked rock solid.
McPhillips looked good too. Kelly just picked up where he’s left off recently, busy and bustling always. I like what Potter and Porter bring too.
Young side today and they fronted up really well. Signs of Tigers DNA coming back...???

Fingers crossed Wiese is ok to play between what looked like a stinger and him throwing up a bit he may not be fully available..Jimmy Skitz wrote: ↑Sat Apr 03, 2021 10:06 pm full Strength next week and demolish Newcastle after whinging about Wiese last week please Mr B

Strength In Depth... finally.. what a squad we are building with Burns, Van Staden, Snyman and Van Wyk to come in.. wow.. and that win tonight was without Genge, Youngs, Montoya, Cole, Liebenberg, Ford, Nadolo, Murimurivalu, Van Wyk (although I think Potter more than deserves his place and is rapidly becoming first choice winger along with Nadolo imho).

Can’t see him staying to be honest and with Ford, Burns, McP and Henry I’d rather the cap was spent elsewhere

Sorry Ben: so excited typed your brother’s name instead of you. Whole team was brilliant.

What. A. Result.
Can really see what Borthwick is building.
We finally have some strength in depth and you can see a real winning culture developing. Players standing up and being counted.
Some great physical contributions throughout the 23.
It feels good, doesn't it?

That's just to make him smell nasty in the tackle. It's fast, it's strong and it stinks! A real beast.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Sat Apr 03, 2021 10:11 pmFingers crossed Wiese is ok to play between what looked like a stinger and him throwing up a bit he may not be fully available..Jimmy Skitz wrote: ↑Sat Apr 03, 2021 10:06 pm full Strength next week and demolish Newcastle after whinging about Wiese last week please Mr B

Will be interested to see if the Connacht player is cited for the hair pull, it's the fact he pulls the scum cap of and grabs a handful of hair...

Utterly bonkers game - loved it.
If Borthwick hasn’t won me over before, he has now. We haven’t shown that depth in the squad for a very long time.
Imagine watching that at a full WR.

Gutted we couldn’t be there.. 48-32 which given it was a 2 point game around 60 minutes proves me wrong about the strength of our bench! Top effortaslongaswebeatsaints wrote: ↑Sat Apr 03, 2021 10:17 pm Utterly bonkers game - loved it.

Shocking discipline again, we really need to sort that out, restarts dodgy again, not much constructive back play, but a deserved win in an entertaining game.
Weise just amazing just needs a bit of polishing & reminding he needs to stay on the field, the 3 young props don't look out of place, Henderson & Martin filled the Hanro gap, Whites pass had some real fizz on.
Although sir wasn't perfect he tried to keep the game flowing, though the Yellow at the end was probably red.
It will be interesting to see next week's selection, be good for Whitcombe to be involved again, a week of for Hayes maybe?

To win is not as important as playing with style!
