Tigers vs Falcons - 28th March 2021 at 15:00
Strange game today but one thing is for sure, that was a phenomenal effort by the lads to come away with a TBP away to Exeter. We never seem to play well at Sandy Park but today I thought the lads were outstanding. Lots to work on but a huge improvement over seasons gone by in terms of attitude, fitness and commitment to stay in the fight and leave with something.
Last few seasons there is no way we would have been right in the fight come the last 10 minutes after going a man down and being on the wrong side of 28-0. Lots of players stood up today but Hanro and Reffell were outstanding for me.
So next week. Back at home against a side struggling for form. We will have the England lads back in contention.. whether they feature or not is another matter but I hope they do. Newcastle will likely lose Carreras after his citing.
Personally I would go with:
1. Genge
2. Youngs
3. Cole
4. Lavanini
5. Martin
6. Liebenberg
7. Reffell
8. Wiese
9. Youngs
10. Ford
11. Potter
12. Scott
13. Moroni
14. Murimurivalu
15. Steward
16. Clare
17. De Bruin
18. Heyes
19. Henderson
20. Wells
21. JVP
22. Henry
23. Porter

Think the ruling is they have to have time off but the club gets to choose when if that makes sense.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Would let the England's boys meet the S&C team and see if they are carrying any knocks or niggles. If they are OK , then load the bench!!

Ford not coming on when Farrell went for a HIA is concerning.soggytiger wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 7:54 pm Would let the England's boys meet the S&C team and see if they are carrying any knocks or niggles. If they are OK , then load the bench!!

You'd expect the England players to be with their families after being in a bubble for weeks, I'd give them this week of, we can manage.
"If you want entertainment, go to the theatre," says Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill. "Rugby players play the game to win.15/1/21.

England disastrous 6N, lost to Scotland, Wales and Ireland! Will our England contingent coming back be any better than the lads who turned out today, will the England poor kicking game, from half backs, creep back into Tigers tactics, who are starting to run the ball again. We could do worse than rest them all.tigerburnie wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 8:37 pm You'd expect the England players to be with their families after being in a bubble for weeks, I'd give them this week of, we can manage.

To win is not as important as playing with style!

I thought Ford had just been subbed off so wasn’t allowed to, as we had other subs that we could use?TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 7:56 pmFord not coming on when Farrell went for a HIA is concerning.soggytiger wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 7:54 pm Would let the England's boys meet the S&C team and see if they are carrying any knocks or niggles. Must admit wasn’t properly watching the game at this point but from what I understood was that he had just come off so we didn’t have the option to bring him on and had to use Robson?

If my memory of laws serves me, Ford was replaced and therefore cannot return, as its not a specialised position ie front row.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 7:56 pmFord not coming on when Farrell went for a HIA is concerning.soggytiger wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 7:54 pm Would let the England's boys meet the S&C team and see if they are carrying any knocks or niggles. They changed that rule, this is a direct quote from the 2021 law book
TACTICAL REPLACEMENTS JOINING THE MATCH
3.33. Tactically replaced players may return to play only when replacing :
a. An injured front-row player.
b. A player with a blood injury.
c. A player with a head injury.
d. A player who has just been injured as a result of foul play (as verified by the match officials).
e. The nominated player described in Law 3.19 or 3.20.
It is quite clear by point c. since the introduction of HIA's being mandated that you CAN bring a player back on, so either the England coaches didn't know the rules (which IMO is a shocker) OR Ford was injured.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.
Re: Tigers vs Falcons - 28th March 2021 at 15:00
Interesting, didn’t know that! You would hope that the England coaches know that so unfortunately would make you think Ford is injured. Thanks for clearing the rules up!TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 9:47 pmLE18 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 9:42 pmIf my memory of laws serves me, Ford was replaced and therefore cannot return, as its not a specialised position ie front row.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 7:56 pm

Yes I know that but Youngs and Ford have been with him so long its ingrained into their heads and instinctively it will come out again as soon as they play for us. Give them time off next week so Tigers tactics can eliminate Eddies stale play.Jimmy Skitz wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 9:11 pmEngland's tactics are down to one man, Eddie JonesLE18 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 9:08 pmEngland disastrous 6N, lost to Scotland, Wales and Ireland!
