Surely the league had rules in place to say what happened when a match could not go ahead because of Covid?

Fascinating seeing Saracens using the appeal process because of perceived unfairness. They are a club beyond parody. No doubt PTM board member Lucy Mercey (nee Wray) Owner / Director of MBM events (a subsidiary of PTM) the company that paid Itoje £95000 for making appearances, at events he didn't appear at, and which Dyson referred to as 'clearly examples of undisclosed salary', will be leading the appeal on behalf of Saracens. Nothing quite like a fit and proper person to front these things up. And Ms Wray is nothing like...................

Past history has absolutely no relevance to the situation.

It seems dodgy that the committee has taken the stance that Hartpury were not at fault for the cancellation. Maybe someone can dig out the competition rules but every other league award points to the team that wasn't involved in the cancellation.

It's not just the points they need though. If they were to do the same points as in the Premiership this season (4-2 and 0-0 points difference) Sarries still finish 2nd, in fact they need 5 points & a 12 point or more points difference to be top.

Why does it matter if you finish top anyway,do you play the first leg away if you do?

Think who finishes top gets choice who plays home last

Sounds like Browning has had a impressive spell at Nottingham.
even without scoring tries sounds like he's been a key man regardless which is impressive for a young winger imo

Who would of thought they might want to "bend" the rules for their benefit..

Nothing more important than having a fit and proper person to front these appeals, in order to give it credibility. And Ms Mercey is nothing like

Be fantastic if Sarries lost over the two legs, can't see it though. I expect them to get some serious grief/banter from fans next season. Now the covid passports look like they are a no go thankfully, when I'm back at WR might get some fake banknotes done with Wrays head on and make it rain 😂

He is very quick from what I’ve seen of him could be the answer to the missing pace we need

What would be bonkers is Sarries could miss out on promotion due to this appeal by THEM being successful, here's the senario.

Sarries appeal, awarded a 20-0 win & 5 points for the missed game (same as points awarded in the European comps). They top the regular season table.

Sarries then have a few test positive. Means they miss playing one of the two legs of the final that leg is then by historical precedent (based on their own appeal) given as a win to Ealing by 20-0, other leg is a Sarries win by 19 points.

Without the appeal the missed playoff leg is 0-0, with a successful appeal, a "guilty" Covid club may have a points difference to make up in the other playoff leg.
