Ealing beat Saracens
27-26 final score to Trailfinders
Ok so only Billy V of the England squad atm was playing, but with 6 Internationals in their starting lineup Saracens it suggests promotion may not be a sure thing for them.

Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Re: Ealing beat Saracens
I'm sure I saw Koch on the teamsheet starting, but 2nd team or not I don't think Sarries expected to lose that and it won't stop them being huge favourites for the championship, but Ealing have proved even more so they can compete and this will help give them some beliefRagingBull wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 10:41 pmTigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 8:42 pm 27-26 final score to Trailfinders

They couldn't field the following 8 players anyway because of the Barbarians Covid ban:
Clark
Lewington
Kpoku (it was his younger brother, Jonathan, who played against Ealing)
Maitland
Socino
Swinson
Vunipola
Wray

I presume our culprit still has a game to go as we have only played 3.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

Do friendlies count towards the ban?

Re: Ealing beat Saracens
For both of these clubs it is vital that The Championship season is played to its fullest (possible) extent as it is logical to assume based on the (thus far unsubstantiated) information that has leaked out that both clubs are viewed as part of long term 13/14 team Premiership based on both financial viability and depth/strength of playing resource.

Re: Ealing beat Saracens
I'm not sure, I think games have to be "meaningful" but don't quote me verbatim on it. Even if friendlies counted, Saracens have only played one fixture before their Ealing encounter against us so they still wouldn't have been able to field certain players.
