Given we have 2 games in 2 days I expect to see an A team for the home match against Brive and an academy team for the Sarries match
Oakham lad born and bred, Tigers season ticket holder who is enjoying steady progression back towards the good old days!

Random question.
Is the resumed Championship season being played under the new adapted rules (no scrums or mauls etc.) Or does it come under elite sport rulings?
In which case is this more a chance to give academy & development squad players who may otherwise have to play via the adapted rules a chance to scrum and maul properly?

Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Sorry but fed up with some of our fans still going on about Sarries being cheats.
They have been punished. It is the season of goodwill so just move on.
Good idea to help them with a fixture and who knows we might Getz Itoje, Farrell and Billy V on a loan deal to help our youngsters get the winning mentality back.
Good luck Sarries and all the best to their fans too who we’ve always found very friendly when going to the Allianz Stadium.
Very helpful ticket office too.

Goodness. Are we about to have a breakout of common sense one here?Ian Cant wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 11:48 am Sorry but fed up with some of our fans still going on about Sarries being cheats.

That is an outrageously sensible comment, Ian. Can we put a stop to it before you start pointing out that referees generally do a very good job in incredibly difficult circumstances?MCC1964 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 11:57 amGoodness. Personally, I would be happy if any post that mentions them brackets the word cheats as follows Saracenns (cheats) V Leicester, this should be reviewed after 10 seasons!

Remove the brackets, just call them the Cheats, Lance Armstrong will be known for every more as a cheat, the same applies to the Cheats.BengalTiger wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 1:56 pm Personally, I would be happy if any post that mentions them brackets the word cheats as follows Saracenns (cheats) V Leicester, this should be reviewed after 10 seasons!
I am seriously annoyed we are playing this game, we should be doing everything possible to support Nottingham, in player loans & practice. I am going to take a guess that The Cheats can afford Premiership level Covid testing, hence the game, but I wish we would have nothing to do we them (or those who benefited from the cheating) until we have to as we are in the same league.

Why not play Nottingham?
Why help the cheats out?
& on the carpet, great for the players...
In effect, we are endorsing them and I am surprised how we appear to have overlooked what had transpired.

Have people thought that Nottingham might not be able to afford to have their team for training?
I would imagine they are not paying their squad currently, and too have them play a game would require them to pay them.
And we can’t just loan them out players for this game since most likely the players that would be on loan would be in this squad.

Just don't play against the Cheats then.

Exactly what it is. Theyve faced their punishment. They are providing us an opportunity to test our players out and with everything going on we would be naive not to.RagingBull wrote: ↑Mon Dec 07, 2020 4:33 pm Feels more like cutting your nose to spite your face TBH.
If we play a B team in a premiership game, and lose, it gives the forum something else to moan about so its a lose lose situation.
I for one think that its very nice of us to help out a championship team!

It's bad enough we have employed at least one person who personally benefited from the cheating, let alone doing anything for the entire club.RagingBull wrote: ↑Mon Dec 07, 2020 4:33 pm Feels more like cutting your nose to spite your face TBH.

and...
What would you want us to do if we have to play them next season?
Sorry we refuse to play them
