The only argument for change is to is to play internationals, we currently manage to play eight internationals some time nine, they do affect the club season but a simple rescheduling of the 6 Nations to the end of the League season would solve that, Premiership season September to end April, about 34/35 weekends, domestic internationals played in May/earlyJune with tour matches to follow. Three Autumn internationals could still be accommodated, the World Cup would still present a problem but sacrificing an international or two should make adjustments for domestic competition minimal and it is after all only once every four years.
