He'll pick the whole Welsh team plus 2nds, two token Scots, a few Irish and about 7/8 English. :smt005

Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95

Be interested to see the makeup of the back row. Think that Curry,Billy V,Tipuric and Faletau will be nailed on. Then do you have Underhill because of his sheer physicality ,Watson as another fetcher,Navidi,a last tour for POM or farewell for Stander,Simmonds as a bolter. Thoughts?

Beirne been the standout blindside so far in the six nations so must be nailed down as being on the tour. Normally seven backrowers are picked so I’d go with Beirne, Curry, Underhill, Tipuric, Billy, Faletau and Stander. Very harsh on Watson who’s been great, but wouldn’t pick him over the above players.

If the Lions try Warrenball it won't work, if they try to pick bigger players, the Boks will just find some even bigger, the Lions won in 97 partially because they out thought them, had a dead eye goal kicker they squeezed in the team & a handful of League professional knowledge.

This should be arguably the most evenly spread squad across the 4 nations for sometime, it should but it won't be.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

Hope not! We squeaked past one of the worse versions of the Ozzie teams I’ve ever seen due to a botched Beale kick, got an incredibly lucky draw in NZ due to Barrett’s kicking,Sonny Bills red and one of the worse reffing decisions I’ve ever seen with the Owens offside,I couldn’t stomach another tour of favouritism and poor selections, why couldn’t they have just given the tour to Eddie so I could have at least enjoyed it!

Let’s not get carried away with bigging up the Boks. They were one debatable call away from losing to Wales in the semi and beat an England team in the final who had played their final a week earlier. They aren’t near the level of any of the top NZ teams.

I remember AWJ getting bullied again in that semi, flashbacks of 2009 when Simon Shaw had to bail him out. Let’s hope history doesn’t repeat itself and Gatland uses his head and sticks him in the dirt trackers

Coming 2nd to those 2 is hardly the worse offense is it?

It is the way it happened, took Simon Shaw to sort things out! I couldn't imagine Itoje or Ryan going out like that

No biggie. AWJ is one of the most over-rated players in the history of Wales and that is saying something 😂
