Not much of a surprise with Cortes moving on. He's hardly played for us to be honest

Like for like in terms of position, with limited game time for either you would think. Maybe a large discrepancy in wage? Moving Cortes to release some funds? Thinking too much into it?

With Dan Cole seemingly back from England duties for good, Cortes would be unlikely to get any meaningful game time.

Osman Dimen is a good tighthead coming through as well.

Does anyone know what's happening with Rob Hardwick? I heard a rumour whilst at the Rec for the Bath game that he's no longer with Tigers.

Tiger let him go.

More likely needed a Loosehead on short term with Genge away.
Had dealings with Warriors with Hughes and we agreed to a swap.

Cortes needed the gametime and unfortunately for the guy, Heyes has come up really well, Leatigaga has settled in and Cole is surplus to England requrements.

We might well save a few quid and the player needs to move to get game time. Makes sense all round.

Tiger let him go.
Personal or professional reasons? He seemed to be overtaking Whitecombe at one point.

Tigers aren't struggling for props coming through with Lines, Dimen, Whitecombe and Wig Jnr. Lynx Noumey is a hell of an athlete now converting to LH as well.

Talking of players with famous dads, how long has young Master West been in the academy?

Sam West was picked up by the academy this year I believe. He's at BMC so was coached there by Tom Harrison who likely scouted him. Sam looks pretty small for a modern front row from what I briefly saw of him in the Falcons U18 game at Oval Park. He's only 17 though so definitely has time for a growth spurt.

There's 5 hookers currently in the academy squad with Archie Vanes the oldest and most impressive of the bunch.

Also Capps is significantly younger and English qualified, should that become important next year.
In my defence, I was left unsupervised….
