Re: England v Ireland
Slade has a niggle so isn't available. I think Eddie prefers the balance of a Manu/Slade midfield so one of Ford or Farrell has to miss out. He's didn't hesitate to bring on Ford to try and rescue the game against the Scots in the 6N.
Re: England v Ireland
Has to be given the form he is in already and it is a well tried and tested duo with Owen.

A niggle? he had his leg in a brace for the England v Wales game, mind, Underhill had his leg in a boot then also but is starting this weeksam16111986 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2019 8:28 pmSlade has a niggle so isn't available. It can't be too serious because he's still in the squad. I presume the braces and boots are protective so that the player can speed up recovery. Add in the oxygen tents etc as well.Chobbsy wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2019 9:21 pmA niggle? he had his leg in a brace for the England v Wales game, mind, Underhill had his leg in a boot then also but is starting this weeksam16111986 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2019 8:28 pmSlade has a niggle so isn't available. Re: England v Ireland
England have always looked best with Ford and Farrell in tandem. Plus Jones want two playmakers so will always pick two out of Ford, Farrell and Slade.
Glad to see Underhill and Curry both start which should give us quick ball to work with. Only weakness is neither known for their lineout work but I think Curry jumps for Sale.

Curry jumps quite a bit at the tail for Sale from memory. Thing he comes shorter if they maul, as they like the bigger jumpers to be available for pushing. He certainly always has the jumping blocks strapped on and ready so must expect to do some lineout work.Leicestertinytiger wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2019 10:04 am England have always looked best with Ford and Farrell in tandem. Re: England v Ireland
That is true, but bizarrely Ben Ryan on the Brian Moore show said that England wouldn’t win the World Cup with Ford at 10. I quite like Bryan Moore but he is a limited interviewer, and never asked Ryan to justify or explain his reasoning.Leicestertinytiger wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2019 10:04 am England have always looked best with Ford and Farrell in tandem.

Re: England v Ireland
Good shift from the Tigers boys, especially Manu, great turnover just now and beast ball in hand. All except Youngs, passing hasn’t been to the man, kicking too far.
Do like Cokanasiga, but isn’t very dynamic at this level. For me Nowell or Watson on the right wing.
England have picked Ireland apart both at the breakdown and lineout time. Daly offers so much in attack from the back too.
