Re: Ulster v Tigers
Barmy or balmy?
Re: Ulster v Tigers
Barmy May be right as a description of Ulster (or not!), but « balmy » probably better describes the conditions
Valhalla I am coming!
Re: Ulster v Tigers
Whereas the Met Office has a 'feels like' temperature of 12 degrees, an 80% chance of rain and winds of 17 mph with 33 mph gusts. Markedly different from Twickenham last Saturday I reckon.

Pretty unequivocal on the Tigers website (LTTV):
" Polota-Nau is fit and firing for a trip to Belfast this weekend if selected for the clash with Ulster."

Re: Ulster v Tigers
Both TPN and Toomua should be on the bench if fit, purely because the other options for their positions are not in the same league.
Don’t know the situation re Cortes, but think I read that Ulster are 2 props down so have no issue with Heyes being on the bench.
Veianu is an interesting one, as well as Olowefela did , Veianu is a game changer and if fit needs to be on the pitch from the beginning, though I would keep Holmes at 15.

Flats might agree with you - he had Jonah as his 15 of the round.

Jonny May could be fit for the weekend! Injury not as bad as first feared.
Smurf in the Daily Mail:
"Jonny has a bang on his AC joint which is pretty painful, but there's no structural damage. We're hopeful he could be available for the weekend. It's certainly not a long-term injury."

Re: Ulster v Tigers
That's excellent news for Tigers and England. Holmes was also in the Telegraph team of the week (ref your remark re Flats), along with Harry Wells!strawclearer wrote: ↑Tue Oct 09, 2018 9:32 pm Jonny May could be fit for the weekend! Injury not as bad as first feared.

So I'm taking the parents to watch the game on Saturday just wondering if anyone who's been to Ulster before can recommend any good pre & post match pubs with good a atmosphere ?

There are many great pubs in Belfast. The ground is out of town the best pubs are more in the centre, The famous pub which you should visit is the Crown, almost next door to it is one called Raddigans (I think) lot of young people and older (I won't say more mature) Tiger's fans dancing when I last visited.
Enjoy your visit.

Re: Ulster v Tigers
I like Raging Bull's suggested team. There is a chance Kitchener may be available if he passes the concussion protocols. If so I'd be tempted to put him on the bench in place of Lewis or Reffel. Tough on the youngsters but I'm thinking of experienced impact off the bench at what has traditionally been a difficult venue for Tigers.
Tigers for the premiership and European Cup. Get behind the team and make some noise!!

We will wear the traditional red, white and green colours in all six rounds of the pool stages in this year’s Heineken Champions Cup, starting in Belfast on Saturday against Ulster.

Bravo Tigers. Who says commercialism is dictating the game. What's that you say, none of the games are at 3pm on Saturuday...strawclearer wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 11:20 am We will wear the traditional red, white and green colours in all six rounds of the pool stages in this year’s Heineken Champions Cup, starting in Belfast on Saturday against Ulster.
