Maybe but like those others that ply their trade elsewhere, it'll be because they aren't good enough.
The only way you can actually believe that is to ignore the likes of Hamish Watson, Alex Lewington, Calum Green and others whose careers have come on hugely since being 'not good enough' for Tigers.

Good enough for teams who are (currently) better than Tigers, but not good enough for Tigers....
Correct. None of those players are good enough for Tigers. Lewington, in my opinion is really overrated.

You wouldn't put any of those players ahead of any current Tigers players.

please Watson is miles ahead of BOC, he was the best Openside in the six nations.

Hearing bits and pieces about who's getting third years, who's in the developments squad and who's being released but nothing solid. No doubt Deano is sniffing.

Quite simply we cannot keep everybody, some may not want to be full time professional rugby players others may be assessed as not likely to make the required grade because of ability or attitude. Some at eighteen plus will be added to our development squad but there will be a further filtering out at age twenty-one. Some player may be offered a contract but decline as they feel prospects are better elsewhere, of the players quoted by others Lewington had international wingers ahead of him that he was unlikely to displace, would he have developed as he has if he had not dropped down a level and had regular game time? The same applies to Calum Green he had opportunities with us but was not good enough to displace those ahead of him, three years Championship rugby have turned him into a useful member of the Falcons squad but I don't think he is better than KItchener or Fitzgerald. Hamish Watson is a different matter he left us to take up a Scottish sevens contract travelling the world, who can blame him and how could Tigers compete? We cannot financially keep every one and we cannot force players to stay if they feel their future lies elsewhere. Mistakes may well happen but I do not know of any of our academy developed player that has been discarded by us and has gone on to be an established first choice in a regular top four team.
