“We are well down the line (towards a new deal) and everything is looking very positive from this end,” said Youngs, who is set to make his 150th appearance for the club this weekend at home to Racing 92.

“I am sure it will be sorted in the next week or two.

“I am not unsettled at all. There are plenty of positives of staying at Leicester. My brother is here and so are George Ford and Matt O’Connor for example."

Confirms that he must have been instrumental in MO'C's appointment?
How so?
Ok - mea culpa - not 'confirms'. How about 'suggests'?

This is good news that Youngsy is resigning, let’s hope they build a decent pack around him. I’m going to make a point here, let’s just say if we sign this Tongan Colossus maybe that will lift the carrying burdens of people like Kalamafoni and if he carries less then he might carry a bit better and start making yards over the gainline. This is why I don’t believe there needs to be massive overhaul of the back row apart from Fitzgerald and Ryan there’s no one else I don’t want to go. Does anyone agree, disagree?

I think we are a couple of weeks or so from a Magic Monday or Wild Wednesday announcement:
The resigning of Ben Youngs (he says he will put pen to paper in a week or two)
The signing of Facundo Gigena (pending visa to confirm signing)
Signing of Will Spencer (his says his future will be sorted out by the end of the month)
A coaching overhaul (MOC says he will announce some additions in the coming weeks on BBC Rl so fingers crossed Bakewell, an individual skills specialist and a replacement for Murphy ie Sam Vesty

Rather skeptical about this. Lots of false info flying around this site lately, Barrow, MOC etc. The unsubstantiated snippet came from someone who had never posted before, made one more post alluding to needing another back-row and then I've noticed nothing from them since.
In my defence, I was left unsupervised….

There’s so much information flying around that is clearly rubbish on social media. People NOT in the know chatting rubbish.

All we know is that we have signed Gigena. More than likely to sign Spencer with Cordero a possibility.

In response to this, I replied saying "Maybe it's the Russians spreading Fake News!" To mildly amuse myself (if no-one else), I wrote this line in Russian!

It's been removed.....expunged.....censored - and I'm left wondering why.

Yeah I meant Ben probably should have worded that better. I meant that I hope Tigers build a decent enough pack for Youngs to thrive off.

What side does Gigena play? Loose or Tighthead? If Gigena is a tight head it could be a factor as to why Betts is leaving.
