They are not exciting signings imo doesn't mean they can't be good signings thoughTheRock wrote:Unfortunately they can't be good signings because JackFlashJonny isn't excited by them.Flash wrote:The signings aren't that bad. J Ford is a clear second choice, he'll know that and hopefully he'll be able to do a job - plus he's a good target for someone like Hardwick to set his sights on to overtake. Ryan seems like the type of person we've been missing in the back row on occasion. Kalamafoni can be a big ball carrier we need and Holmes will likely improve and could be better value in the squad than Betham.

Leroy Houston could be a good option at 8...although if he returns to England surely it will be Bath...
Odd that no-one has any rumour or knowledge to where we might be looking next for some centres at the very least...

Why would the Board buy centres when we already have Messrs Smith and Tait as game breakers.

With the lack of an emoticon, not sure if this is an attack on the Board or a witticism.fortysix wrote:Why would the Board buy centres when we already have Messrs Smith and Tait as game breakers.

Because both are over 30 and have a history of injury problems. To be honest I'm surprised Tait got a new contract, we're paying for his rugby brain rather than his physical capabilities these days.fortysix wrote:Why would the Board buy centres when we already have Messrs Smith and Tait as game breakers.
We need a 20 something big ball carrier that can ideally play centre and wing.

Surely if we allowed JPP to leave we have secured his replacement...this is very exciting
Whilst a great player JPP is not the player we need imo
All the best JPP

More like we needed to unload him first and it remains to be seen who we have signed with his banked wages. I suspect it will not be another winger and I doubt if it will be a stellar name. I live in hope.JackFlashJonny wrote:Surely if we allowed JPP to leave we have secured his replacement...this is very exciting

The rumour out here in NZ is that we have signed Johny May to replace JPP - don't know anymore than that.
