Ceremony after game last night
I dinstictly remember the announcer encouraging Tigers fans to stay after the game as there was going to be a post match ceremony of sorts. Presumably a 100th cap etc.
We stuck about (primarily to congratulate the Glasgow players) but nothing in the form of a ceremony. The cynic in me wonders if the top brass at the club didn't fancy walking onto the pitch after the humiliation on it. Anyone know what it was going to be for and why it didn't happen.

What's the equivalent of burning a set of bails?
Happy days clearing straw from the pitch before the Baa-Baas games! KBO

It was possibly a last ditch plea to get a few fans to stay until the end of the game, many didn't, bet it did not look good on TV.
Re: Ceremony after game last night
Not sure what it was for, but at a guess could it have been for Jack Roberts? He made his 25th appearance for the first team in the Sarries match - don't we award a cap for 25 appearances?

Agree it must have looked awful on TV. I looked across to the H&B stand with 15 mins to go and it was 25% full. Not seen attendance but with some many empty seat why didn't we give tickets to kids? Where is the corporate nouse in terms of trying together locals interested in the club?

Was it some kind of Tigers equivalent to the Ashes?
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.

Can't remember if it is a tie @50 and cap @100
Re: Ceremony after game last night
Have to say that there was never 19,000 in the ground. We had loads of seats empty at kick off! Going on the poor showing by SOME of the team it will have a massive affect on future attendances. I thought Tom Young was captain so wondered why it was Tait doing the talking each time Glasgow seem to score.
If we have players who have issues please bring it into the open, do something about it or let us all know you are moving on as yesterday was a disgrace to say the least. In private industry some of you guys would be getting the sack!
Well done to Glasgow who were by far the better team and deserved the win. As for SOME of the Tigers team words very nearly fail me.

As with all clubs, regions etc. (and football clubs), the "attendance" is the number of tickets sold, including season tickets. You could have a completely empty WR and the attendance would be 15,000 or whatever the number of season ticket holders is.palletman wrote:Have to say that there was never 19,000 in the ground.

President Simon Cohen has accused this forum of dishonesty over the number of people attending the match.Cagey Tiger wrote:As with all clubs, regions etc. (and football clubs), the "attendance" is the number of tickets sold, including season tickets. Standing in for Gary Sherrard, Press Secretary Sean Spicer outlined figures amounting to 26,000 people in the ground - "the largest audience to ever see a match against Glasgow in that part of Leicester."
He said the Tigers board would hold the forum accountable just as soon as they came out of hiding.
Mr Spicer also said that plastic sheets had been used for the first time to cover some of the posh seats which "had the effect of making it look like supporters were leaving early whereas in fact they were simply forming an orderly queue for leftover prawn sandwiches from the 'TryHarder Club'.
(Outgoing Commander-in-Chief, Richard Cockerill was unavailable for comment having left earlier on Mourad Airways One.)
