England v South Africa
Teams up;

A good side considering the injuries. Personally I would have gone with Hughes not Wood and Goode not Brown but small margins.
England are favourites but it's never easy against the Boks!!

A shame Tigers don't want us to watch it though really isn't it?

Yes it would have been good/sensible to have gone for a 1pm or even 12.45 pm KO v the Dragons on Saturday, many more people would have then stayed on to watch the game live not "as live".

Yes, but then the vocal minority will have moaned because apparently everyone travels to the game from Timbuktu / there's no public transport except for that which gets you to the game precisely at 3pm and home straight after / nobody can drive / we all love Tigers and don't care about England.Soggypitch wrote:Yes it would have been good/sensible to have gone for a 1pm or even 12.45 pm KO v the Dragons on Saturday, many more people would have then stayed on to watch the game live not "as live".
Utter lunacy from the club - they do it all the time.
Re: England v South Africa
Too true. My decision has gone with missing Tigers this time - not my usual, but with a bit of a sore foot and solid rain forecast all day, I've opted for the dry and warm seat in front of the telly. Had there been staggered KOs, I could, and would, have managed both.Iain wrote:A shame Tigers don't want us to watch it though really isn't it?
In my defence, I was left unsupervised….

Me too. I am not swapping my sofa and a glass of Shiraz for the delights of the M1 from jct 14 & the beautiful queues on Narborough Road.
Daft decision by the Club (if they made it)
Re: England v South Africa
Shame the matches clash.
Not sure why Wood has been picked. He was found wanting when he was on form, something that seems to have been missing for some time.
Is he a better line out operator than Hughes? Having a line out jumper in the back row increases the options. Last time we played South Africa our line out only had 2 jumpers which made it very easy for them to compete with their tall locks.

Ben Youngs a serious contender for MoM - as long as the ref isn't adjudicating!
Happy days clearing straw from the pitch before the Baa-Baas games! KBO

I still don't understand why EJ keeps Dan Cole on for 80 every time!

Sorry - didn't realise the idiot Barnes was deciding - any Tigers player stood no chance!strawclearer wrote:Ben Youngs a serious contender for MoM - as long as the ref isn't adjudicating!

A decent performance but an easy win. Shows how far SA have fallen.
Argentina and Australia will be much harder.
Agree YBY should have been MOTM. Both Vunipolas also excellent, nobody had bad game but we will need to step it up, which we will.
