our back up is Matt Toomua, I don't think Williams is better than himfentiger wrote: ↑Sun May 13, 2018 6:44 pmWould be a better back up than we have currently! Williams has looked good at 12 though IMO, be an excellent 22 player.Jimmy Skitz wrote: ↑Sun May 13, 2018 6:46 pmour back up is Matt Toomua, I don't think Williams is better than himfentiger wrote: ↑Sun May 13, 2018 6:44 pmWould be a better back up than we have currently! Would take
10. Ford, Hardwick, Ford
12. Toomua, Williams, Worth,
13. Manu, Owen, Tait, Smith, Thacker
That being said the price demands would have to go way way down.

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non Tigers 2016/17
All looks good on paper doesn’t it, but as we’ve found out, having a Stella back line requires a) forwards to give you ball and b) combinations to click, which they may well do of course. Glos seem to be developing some Springbok grit up front with physicality so should get the go forward. Cips is obviously looking to England so could be missing for large periods, like Ford. Then there’s the Gloucester worrying trend of throwing games away when in a strong position, which they need to sort out. All of the ingredients are there though.

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non Tigers 2016/17
Exactly...I’m still to be convinced that the Ford/Toomua axis will work but I feel Cips will be very forthright about what he expects from his 9 and 12 etc and will run the show. His eye for a gap and distribution is arguably as good as Ford. Rumours that Glos will maybe look at Owen Williams as a second playmaker ...at 12, where he wasn’t too shabby for us.Rugbyflanker wrote: ↑Sun May 13, 2018 7:49 pm Yes,we only have to look at Ford,Toomua,Manu to know on paper means diddly squat!

Feel for lions looking at rumours of their team that got to the final last year.
Dryer - Glous
Ferreira - Off somewhere can't remember might be a prem club...
Mortest - Glous (Still doubt it will happen)
Kriel - Glous (Confirmed)
Ackerman - left for Glous
Coetzee - Sale
Akker van der Merwe - Left for Sharks
Jonker - left for Montpelier
de Klerk - left for Sale
Rohan Janse Van Rensburg - Glous
So if all happen that will be 10 of the 23 leaving in around 12 months.
Crazy and a bit naughty of JA considering he said he wouldn't poach lions players.

Haskell has joined Stains!
Re: Transfers & Rumours Non Tigers 2016/17
Cipriani to Gloucester has been confirmed.

It's beyond that, in which you find the issue.Rugbyflanker wrote: ↑Sun May 13, 2018 7:49 pm Yes,we only have to look at Ford,Toomua,Manu to know on paper means diddly squat!
Gloucester arguably have the strength in depth.
Our alternate is J. Ford, Tait, Owen; although if M'oC had any trust in youngsters it would include Hardwick and Worth but I don't see it happening
Richard Burnett

Haskell to Saints seems like a desperation signing more than anything to keep fans happy. Not the player he once was.
However, Cips to Gloucester now confirmed. They seem to be building a quality together for next season.

Hmm.Not sure about that. I believe that Haskell could serve Saints well, even at 33 years old, and they'll get a good year out of him.Leicestertinytiger wrote: ↑Mon May 14, 2018 10:41 am Haskell to Saints seems like a desperation signing more than anything to keep fans happy.
