No not that one, the Tomvarndell that posts on this here forum.

After I predicted Tigers to finish 5th in the Prem (by 1 point) Tomvarndell disagreed and thought we would do it. So we pledged to make a donation to the Matt Hampson Trust based on who was right.

Only Tomvarndell feels we have performed so badly in the last couple of games that he is fully justified in not only making that donation now but putting in an extra tenner. He has sent me proof of the donation of £40. So well done Tomvarndell, you are indeed an honourable man.

I still intend to donate should Tigers finish top 4.

The only place that Tom Varndell is a legend is in his own mind. Whilst I admit he is a good attacking player, his defensive capabilities are Zilch and his tackling at the best can be described as powder puff. I think the reason he left the tigers is that he saw the kind of players we were recruiting and knew in his own mind that he'd rather be first choice elsewhere than 2nd or even 3rd choice at the Tigers.
