New Clocks Needed URGENTLY
When the big screen was installed, I mistakenly thought that the game clock would be incorporated into the screen or at the very least, the very small, silly little clocks we have now, replaced. From our seats between the 10 and 22 metre lines, the clubhouse end clock is frequently invisible due to the sun and the Goldsmith's end clock is simply too small and too far away. Red on black has never been a good combination either so when can we expect these clocks to be preplaced?

Re: New Clocks Needed URGENTLY
I mentioned this on the new screen thread. Admittedly, it was very sunny on Sunday but I was having problems seeing either of the clocks and I'm sat roughly equidistant between them.
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.

I find that a wristwatch is useful.

Oooo, a little sarcastic? If you want to try and guess when the ref has stopped and re-started the game clock that's fine but I, and most likely many others, want to know what time the officials have on the clock. My wristwatch is not a stop watch either - is yours? I think you are missing the point here.

Re: New Clocks Needed URGENTLY
It was slightly easier to see the clocks yesterday but that was only due to the fact it wasn't as sunny as for the previous home match.

What you need BJ is a 14 year old sitting/standing next to you, funnily enough they seem to have no problem reading the clocks!!

There's nowt wrong with my long distance eyesight. I was actually telling some of those (younger than me) sat nearby what time was left on the clock.
I just think they need some brighter bulbs/LEDs/LCDs or whatever are fitted.

I can see the new clock in the club house stand quite clearly and I'm diabetic
whose eyesight is supposed to deteriorate over time. I suggest that the complainants get there eyes tested or wear sunglasses. I sit in the Goldsmith Stand which is more than 100 metres away and incur no problems at all.

FYI, I wear prescription photochromic varifocals, i.e. they darken when exposed to sunlight. The clock at the Clubhouse End might appear brighter to you since you view it perpendicularly as opposed to us in the GNC Stand who see it from an oblique angle.Noddy555 wrote:I can see the new clock in the club house stand quite clearly and I'm diabetic whose eyesight is supposed to deteriorate over time. However, if your eyesight is that good, how come you didn't see you've duplicated your post.

Don't people wear wristwatches?
Re: New Clocks Needed URGENTLY
From my perch in the GNC try as I may I could not read any stadium clocks due to the sun glare which was strong last Saturday and I wear a peaked Tigers cap. Time for a big new clock to go with the new big screen so it must be at least the same size as the original victorian clock in St Pancras Station
Without hope we are nothing, keep the faith, a Tiger for eternity

Yes I do. However, I have yet to find one that automatically counts down from 40 minutes and is linked to the ref's signals so it stops and starts when he calls time off and on.Zdzislaw wrote:Don't people wear wristwatches?
