Tigers vs Exeter

Post by Bunchy »

Good time to be playing them, fresh from their first ever piece of silverware and now safely into Europe next season..... lets hope they are not quite at the races on Sunday.

This weekend will also have a very strange feel about it, as we realistically need Sarries and Saints to win - I know you will feel dirty, but lets cheer them on (quietly) as part of focussing on the bigger picture.

Each game has a cup final feel about it from now in..

Certainly very dirty. You should wash your mouth out with soap! :smt003
Of course this is my own opinion and other posters may have a different perceived factual viewpoint.

Looking forward to the game. Exeter do not get a place in Europe by winning the LV Cup. The new tournament gives the top 6 teams a place in the competition under the rules.

TTRITH, your team's about right, though I'd like to see Steeeve start 6. Plus Scully's unavailable so maybe Tomb Stone will start, unless we're confident about one of the injury returnees.

Exeter are going to difficult to beat som lets hope that Tigers come out from the start. Exeter have the advantage of being match fit having beaten Bath and Northampton but how much has this taken out of them?

Vainokolo looked a handful against Bath so the defence must be watertight and the players must maintain their discipline. I expect Tigers to come away with a win but not with a bonus point.

I assume barring injury the team that plays this weekend will be the same to face Saints.

Parling / Morris / Benjamin / Camacho not fit for sure. Morris and Benjamin struggling to make a return this season, Camacho and Parling nearing a return so I understand.

I have a sneaky feeling we may see Flood and Allen return for Sunday - it's a big enough game on it's own but what follows are 2 massive massive away matches and I expect experience to win out.
Not saying it should happen, just what I feel

No Scully, no Bowden so far. Just hope nothing else goes pear-shaped.

Hints at Allen playing here, also interesting re our game strategy both before this weekend and plans ahead. Seems the team have been playing to a tight game plan and some on here have been slating players, who were only following a team plan. Seems our coaches and players are in the know and winning the best way they thought fit. The arm chair pundits should maybe try some thinking before posting.......................

It is interesting that no one has even mentioned TTE against his new club - he may have a point to prove - but I could not put him above Gibson/Mafi/Matera.

We do need Mafi and Flood firing for the rest of the season - so they need to play. Most of the rest will pick themselves (subject to which wings are fit).

I just love the irony of this post.
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.
