After the erratic offloads earlier in the season & the fine form of Thompstone since he came into the side, I was one of those who was worried at Goneva's inclusion in the XV for the final.
I'm surprised they didn't test him more under the high ball, although there were gaps in defence when he or Manu (or both!!) jumped out of the line...
But, overall he had a fine game and I applaud his performance (and the work done by the coaches with him) - it shows there is still great competition for a place in the starting fifteen at Tigers and that there is life after Alessana

Apparently he's played in the centre too so could prove an interesting option at outside centre when Manu's in England duty.
I guess his return to fitness has caused headaches because Thompstone was playing very well and must have felt a bit hard done by missing the final few games.
Throw Benjamin into the equation for next year and there will real and difficult choices to make. Who'd be a coach?
