Bath away in LV Cup Semi Final

Post by Tigerbeat »

Looks like Tigers could face an away trip to Bath in the semi final. Bath only need a point to win their group and finish as number 1 seeds.

2 & 3rd seeds will be Northampton and Scarlets

Tigers will finish 4th seeds.

Bath are away at Exeter tomorrow. (Exeter are not able to qualify)

Saracens could finish equal on points with a bonus point win away to Newport Gwent Dragons ( game was postponed last night)

Any thoughts on the Semi final match ups?

Winnable. Easier than going to Wales I think.

Winnable but Bath are putting out their strongest side as it's their only hope of silverware and HC rugby. I think the likes of Kitchener, Lewington, Forsyth, Morris and Armes should play in the final rounds but I suspect Cockers will pick the strongest side possible.

I hope RC does pick his strongest side from here and go all out to win it.

It not a good thing to start getting out of the habit of winning trophies, nor hand the experience of winning trophies to others clubs.

Couldn't have picked a better fixture myself :smt023

Any idea on how much it is likely to cost? £20... more... less..?

Hopefully we will win in Bath and play saints in the final. The only problem is at a capacity of 12,000 sixways is not really big enough for a final.

Since sixways only holds 12,000 can we get tickets now before the semi's. Bath v Scarlets final could be a try-fest :smt003 :smt003
Of course this is my own opinion and other posters may have a different perceived factual viewpoint.

Do we have a realisitc chance of winning at The Rec? :smt017
Will RC take this game seriously and put out as strong a side as possible?

My personal view is this could be our only opportunity for silverware. :smt022

I think that since this game will be outside the 6N period all the teams will put out a strong side. Listening to Mallinder Saints are taking this cup seriously. Bath realistically have only this cup to qualify for HC and as for Scarlets they are Welsh and hate the English so will want to put one over any of the other remaining sides (IMHO)
